What are you paying for hair and makeup?

So I totally realize this is largely influenced by location. However I have seen a wide range just in my area. I am crazy picky when it comes to hair so I definitely see a huge difference in skill between the girl who quoted me $65 for day of and $65 trial vs the girl who quoted me $175 (trial included). I will end up paying my hair girl $250 + tip after the travel fee. And while I feel that’s outrageous, I also feel it’s worth it to be confident my hair will be exactly what I want it to be. Also she’s traveling almost an hour to me. So totally worth it.

Makeup has me thrown though. I used to do hair professionally so I know at least a little bit about what’s good and what’s not. Makeup is a totally different story. I have a local girl quoting me $45 (including travel and fake lashes) and her stuff is good. Then I have another girl in mind that it $55 according to her site but I don’t know what that includes or what her travel fee is. Her stuff is amazing. But I can’t decide if the difference is worth the (probably) doubled price when I’m already paying a lot for hair. Thoughts?

What are you paying for each? And what determined your decision? Needing to save money? Wanting to look flawless?

And it shows in your picture!😍 so maybe I should make it more of a priority than it was previously. My fiancé actually made the comment to me “we’re spending thousands of dollars on everything else, why would you not spend the extra money on yourself?” And I was like when you put it that way.... lol thank you!

I just booked my hair and makeup stylists. I was having the same issues with soo many different prices. I live in wisconsin and i was being quoted anywhere from $65-$150 for hair and the same for makeup.

I found someone who will do updos for $50. And a girl who will do make up for $65 and $75 for airbrush

I still haven’t booked makeup.😅 but I did book hair and I went with the more expensive one because her work was definitely better. The girl that’s doing your hair is definitely a good deal if she’s good at what she does! Will you be doing regular makeup or airbrush? I can’t decide which one I’d want. Sometimes regular looks cakey but sometimes airbrush looks orange. Lol
