What are you putting your vows on?

We are each writing our own vows. What are you putting them on? Printing them on a piece of paper? Putting them in a little book? And should I have my maid of honor carry for me? Or the officiant? TIA!

We each bought books for our vows. I am carrying the book down the aisle instead of flowers but you can have to officiant hold them or your maid of honor, it's up to you.

My fiance and I bought "his" & "hers" vow books. Smiley smile We will most likely have our maid of honor and best man hold them for us or let the officiant hold them for us until we get up there. I won't really have a spot to put it. LOL

I made vow books for us to write ours in. We gave our books to the officiant beforehand and she handed them to us when we needed them during the ceremony.

At first I was dead set on getting a nice vow book set from Etsy or Amazon that we'd probably spend ~$20 on & then toss them in a storage box to never be looked at again...but then one of my FH's groomsmen got married & they had their vows written on yellow legal pad paper. I highly doubt anyone really noticed, and if they did they didn't care. I don't think there's anything wrong w/ either option though. They even make phone cases that look like vow books if you choose to read them off your phone & don't want your phone in the pictures.

But after spending so much already, we're just going to go w/ the free option & write them down. He's probably going to keep his in his pocket & I'll give mine to my Man of Honor to hold in his pocket.

We are writing them to each other on notebook paper to read before the ceremony and before our first look. Just our style as we both don't enjoy public speaking whatsoever. Also, we feel it's more intimate. We have come up with the vows for us to repeat in front of everyone else with our officiant.

I'm going to print out "his vows" and "her vows" cards! I just found a cute font and I'll print it out on nice cardstock! Smiley smile I'm planning on giving them to our officiant to hold on to! I was originally planning to buy a set or templates on Etsy, but didn't feel like spending money on something that I can easily make.

OMG I haven't thought of this at all. I would love to have the vows in something that we can keep forever. That would be nice. I have seen people do index cards, long sheets of paper, cell phones, etc. But I know me, a vow book would be good.

I feel like it just depends on if you want it on a cute little keepsake instead of just a regular piece of paper. I’ve seen cute little like notebooks that say her vows and his vows. It’s something to think about .

I just had them on my phone. My dad had my phone and husband had his. I handed him my phone after I was done with mine.
