What are you using to hold your bouquet at the reception?

ladylee, on November 23, 2009 at 9:59 AM Posted in Style and Décor 0 22

Or are you just going to lay yours on the table? I'm thinking about getting one of these or something similar to put on the head table and stick my bouquet in it. I was going to get these for all my centerpieces but I changed my mind. Do you guys have any other ideas/suggestions?

I was thinking of putting vases on some tables and the BMs would put there bouquets in the vases and then I could put mine in the vase and the head table. Kinda the same idea as the link you posted just without the candles. That way I don't have to spend extra on flowers at the tables, just the tables that my BM bouquets wont be on. Smiley smile

Both michael's and joann has them for $24.99. but of course you can use the 40% off coupons which brings them to around $15.

I am just having sqaure vases with beads in the bottom to hold my and my bridesmaids flowers. I am having a head table so there will be flowers in every other spot.

I honestly haven't even thought about it. It's little things like this that I don't realize I'm supposed to plan out haha. Well at least I have some time. But I think they all sound like great ideas!

Vases are very popular now, if your bouquet will lends itself to being put in a vase (and not be too front heavy). Like Jamie J. said, putting beads, rocks, stones, etc. in the bottom will help anchor it, and they also sell kind of a "bouquet clip." I don't know if that would work on your bouquet, but give it a Google. 'Couldn't hurt! Smiley smile Good luck!

I was just going to have mine and the BMs set them on our head table. We're not having the hand tied bouquets so the stems don't have to be set in water.

Mine is not cascading so I think it will be fine and not tip over. But I probably will put some beads or rocks in the bottom just for good measure. I have seen those bouquet clips.

We are not doing a headtable - just a sweetheart table, and I plan on just putting my bouquet along with my BM bouquet on the table - toward the front - therefore the sweetheart table will not need a centerpiece

Many of our clients have put them in cylinder vases and incorporate them into the centerpiece for the head table (or their individual tables if it's sweethearts table)- but all of your suggestions are great ideas!
