What are your favorite registry items?

FH and I both own our own homes, and between the two of us, we'll have a lot of "stuff." Our flatware and towels are horrible though, so we registered for the 18/10 stainless steel Knork flatware and serving sets from knork.net and the Hotel Collection towels at Macy's. I am pretty indifferent about the rest of the stuff on the registries. We otherwise have a honeyfund.com registry, so we're hoping people contribute to our honeymoon.

A Dyson vacuum! Although I don't plan on getting it because it's so expensive!

@Amy if you lived closer I'd give you mine! I bought one and now have all hard wood floors.

Amy, I am SO FREAKING GLAD we got rid of our carpet and got hardwood floors because I hated cleaning our carpet with these dogs around. However, now when I sweep the floor it is just a big pile of hair. Gross.

We put a Dyson on our registry and I've always wanted one but could never justify a $300 vacuum. If everything gets bought EXCEPT that I'll be soooo sad! A bunch of things we just put on there because they recommended having a certain amount of items to buy in each dollar category- even though we didn't make it close to their numbers anyway. If I end up with the two cutting boards and random dish towels and not that Dyson I'll cry! lol I keep telling my aunts how much I want it, hoping they will catch the drift and all chip in for it =D

The compact table top wine fridge! It's really the only splurge on our registry! I also really, really want these pie plates from Williams Sonoma...

@ Desiree - We too own our home and have so for 2 years, so our registries (which we nearly finished today) are mostly upgrades and home decor. We definitely have some pet-friendly items on there, but my favorite is the dish sets. We have been using cheap, college crap and an extremely heavy ceramic hand me down for over 2 years and I haaaate them. I cannot wait to have a nice matching set! Another favorite are the teal/silver vases and bowls from Macys because they will match our living room like no other

We merged two households when we moved into our house 3 years ago so really don't need much. Most of the items we registered for are serving pieces for entertaining.

I really hope we get the set of port glasses but if we don't I will have to get them.

A kitchen aid 5 quart mixer, really nice sheets and towels, and some gadgets for the kitchen like a mandolin

Dyson. We got it, and when it passes, I will happily shell out every penny for the new one.

We got upgrades, like really nice wine glasses, bakeware, a set of phenomenal knives, an indoor grill, a dutch oven. Those are the first that come to mind.

We've been living together for 6 years already so we're in the same boat. Upgrading all of our kitchen stuff. I really am excited about some of those crazy cushy kitchen mats, a really good molcajete, le creuset and copper pans, better quality baking pans, and a really good cutting board. I like baking and cooking

How about some decorative items? End tables, lamps, pillows, a nice umbrella stand, mirror, coat rack, ottoman...?

Def a kitchen aid mixer. i have alot of kitchen stuff on there. i also put some fun stuff like a dart board put some tools on there in case of repair work

Case in point, FH and I both already have Dysons! It really was hard to come up with stuff for a registry! I didn't see any point in "upgrading" Wusthof knives!

@Megan, we put 8 place settings on our registry but went ahead and ordered two more when Living Social recently had a voucher and we love 'em! I know my mom's already gone and bought the others so we can't wait to get those. Half of FH's flatware has been down in the disposal...

We already have most of the stuff we need around our home. It's kind of lame, but I'm really excited for the picnic basket and blanket so Erich and I can go on lunch hikes on the weekends.

Thanks for all the ideas everyone! Mrs. S, a coat rack is an awesome idea I never would have thought of. We don't have a closet by the front door and it always bugs me that I have to either hang up my coat on the back of the dining room or go all the way into my room to hang it in the closet.
