Tea Towel Invites / FavorsWhat are your opinions on Wedding Tea towel invites / favors? 1

I came across these online, and love the idea. I was wondering if anyone has done something like this before, or is interested in something like this??

I wouldn’t give any type of monogrammed favor. Most guests don’t have any use for something with the couples logo or information on it.

So you don't think a guest would even just use it as a household rag or towel for cleaning? I want to provide a invitation that is useable.. not disposable Smiley sad

Is this supposed to be a favor or an invite? If it is a favor I'd skip it or choose something edible instead. No one wants an item with the couples name/date, etc. on it and most guests will leave them behind.

If you are planning to send this instead of a regular paper invitation I'd advise against it. An invitation is supposed to indicate the level of formality for your event and since this is a dish rag it definitely doesn't scream formal or even semi-formal. Also, an invite is convenient because a guest can keep it handy and even bring it with them on the day of the event if they want to refer to it for information. This isn't handy and will likely get lost or dirty quickly. I also don't see the point as it is likely much more expensive than a regular invitation.

    Personally, I'd pass.

No. Keep it to a standard invitation. They are unique, standard type invitations but it isn’t worth the money doing a towel.

Maybe you can order a few to send as save the dates for your VIPs?
I agree they’re just not practical as an actual invite & there’d be a lot of additional costs you’d need to factor. I put invites I receive on the side of our fridge with a magnet. That towel would take up too much space to have up for 3 months. Plus how would you send them? You can’t put them in an envelope with a standard $.70 stamp. And you’d have to still include a paper rsvp or detail cards.
And I’m not a fan of favors in general. They remind me of children’s birthdays.

I would not want my wedding invitation and "household rag" to be synonymous or used in the same sentence. I understand if you had this in your own house but I agree with other PPs that other people don't want things in their house with other people's names, etc.

Honestly I wouldn’t keep it.. I really couldn’t even donate it because of all the information so it would probably get tossed in the trash. I prefer a paper invitation so I can put it on the refrigerator until the day of.
