I know a few from WW that were submitted but not quite recently but there definitely have been. I remember one on WW blog (actually not sure she was a WW Bride), i remember a couple of WW brides that have been on Rock n Roll Bride and a few others.

I run a blog for these too, so that's the only reason I know a bit about these things.

I work in the wedding industry and have personally submitted to and been accepted on Wedding Chicks. I've also been accepted on other sites like Ruffled, but I had the wedding coordinator do the submission.

If your coordinator or photographer has been previously featured on a blog, I would have them submit it - with an excerpt from you of course. They're familiar with curating the best images and formating them for submission. For my own wedding, I'm having the photographer submit since her work has been featured often.

Just a word of caution ladies. You need to check with your photographer. For most photographers, submitting to a blog or contest is outside the copyright release that is given with the images. Your photographer wants credit for his/her work. Sometimes that means watermarking the images before submitting to a blog or making sure the blog posts the photographer's info and link. It truly is very big deal to us because using our images without authorization (by a blog, contest or anyone) is not okay...some people steal our work and claim it is their work...not okay. We all want our work published, but with our permission...we want to know where our images are being used and by whom. So please, please check with your photographer before submitting your images anywhere for publication. Copyright infringement is a very big deal & can incur financial penalties.

i am only working with my photographer on submissions, so he is aware of the outlets and receiving proper credit etc.... and helping to curate the images.

Ashlee, you are awesome! I'm so happy to hear you're working with your photographer. Stuff like that makes me super happy! Some photographers submit to blogs...and then sometimes we're approached. The latter happened to me recently where a magazine approached me...and I had them speak with the bride as well. It worked out great. The wedding was featured as a spread in the magazine, and another photo of mine from a different shoot was featured on the cover. Working with your photographer is a great thing that can turn out great for both of you!

I asked him immediately after the wedding (before even seeing all the images!), about blogs and submitting... he has been approached as well... but is letting me submit... of course i am a *bit* partial to my wedding (hahaha) but i also love his work and he is such a nice guy on top of it.
