Good posture helps. Pull your shoulders back, and stretch out your neck. It's uncomfortable at first, but it helps. Plus you'll be taller. Think ballerina…

I've been doing "chin ups"- for years and with all my weight gains and losses I've never had a double chin--try this. Look straight up and then open and close your mouth -wide- repeatedly. It sounds really stupid, but it does work. Its an old Richard Simmons exercise. There are muscles under there, you will feel them stretch. You feel the stretch when you close--close by sticking your lower jaw out a little bit--like you have a severe under bite. Don't pull a muscle though. LOL.

Keep working out. It will go down. We all lose weight differently. My stomach starts to go down first, then my face. You will see results soon...just keep at it Smiley smile

I agree with the PP, keep working out and eventually your face will start to slim. My face was the first thing to get super thin on me after losing weight, but everyone's body is different.

If you get a decent photographer they'll probably know how to shoot pics of you at the right angle so you don't end up with a double chin. I imagine they can direct you to tilt you face the right way so you don't end up hating your pictures.

A good photographer(or editor) can cover a multitude of "flaws."

I have that same problem, particularly in photos. I have a tendancy to pull my chin in and down for photos so I really have to be aware of it. If you become more conscious of your posture, you can help improve it just as Kimberly M suggested. Definitely lift your head and neck toward the sky. Imagine a string pulling you up from the top of your head. This should help with minimizing any double chin in your photos. Practice your photo poses in a mirror or have someone else keep taking shots until you find out what works best.

    Happy wedding day!

Shoulders back, straighten the neck, keep your chin up Smiley smile Practice in the mirror to get it perfect so it doesnt look too obvious you're stretching out, but no or less double chin Smiley smile I get that too Smiley sad sucks, but I've gotten it mastered for photos at least!

Julie is right...your neck/chin will be sore the next day if you do it.

I agree that the photographer can help with posed pictures, but the photographer is not going to yell at you to lift your chin while you're saying your vows. You'll have to remember to keep your chin up, but don't let it affect your ceremony that you're constantly trying to be posed. Just let it be and do what is natural...save the posed pictures for after the ceremony. You will be caught in candid pictures and you might not look good in all of them, but don't be self-conscious on your wedding day!

I loose mine pretty fast, every time I exercise or go for walks, any type of exercise, I rubbed ALBOLENE, around my chin, neck, back of my arms, my stomach... I don't know if you ever heard of it, but they only sell it in Walgreens, it's a moisturizer/make-up remover, white jar with blue cap... it helps loose the fat of those parts of your body that are hard to loose.. try it, I hope it works for you, I did for me !! good luck Smiley smile

Okay, I read this on a model's blog:

Her trick is that if you are having a picture done and you are face on, pretend there's an invisible apple you're holding with your chin on your neck- so chin is up and out. Take test pictures up until the wedding and figure out your best angles. I know that sometimes I can picture with a double chin (ugh), so I learned that if I pull out my chin and turn my head slightly angled to the left or right (whichever is natural for the picture), no double chin. I always, always try to get a full jawline in the picture, it makes the chin look angular and not rounded. Practice makes perfect, I guess Smiley smile

And I second what somebody else mentioned above- if you have a good photographer, they will know how to catch your angles. Never let them take a picture from below you (prime double-chin angle).

    Here's an example.

First picture is a MAJOR OH MY GOODNESS NO HOW AWFUL DON'T DO IT. Thanks, mom, for catching this.

    Second picture is angles.
