What can i get with a $300 floral allowance?

6-1-18, on January 7, 2018 at 7:08 PM Posted in Style and Décor 0 14
I'm getting married at an all-inclusive and flowers are pretty low on my list of priorities. When I told the venue I didn't have any bridesmaids they said my $300 floral allowance will go a long way, then, but I feel like most people spend a lot more than that on flowers. I need a bouquet (probably pretty simple) and some petals for my two flower girls. What can I do with the remainder? A floral arch? Flower crowns for the flower girls? I know nothing about flower prices, I guess. My floral consult is in March.

First, it probably depends on where you’re located. But I’d guess a nice bouquet for you, petals, and flower crowns. You wouldn’t even get an arch for the whole $300 I doubt.

Many bridal bouquets are $200+, so that budget really won't go far. You may be able to get a flower girl crown in addition to the bouquet. Or a bouquet + petals. I don't think you'll have enough for the bouquet and an arch. Most professional florists will want to work with at least a $1000 budget. Perhaps look at grocery store flower departments for more budget friendly pricing.

It's all through the venue. If I wanted to spend more on flowers, I could either through them or outside of them. But I most likely won't because it's not important to me. I just found it strange that they said the floral allowance would go a long way without bridesmaids, when $300 really isn't a lot for flowers at all.

Ya, that is strange. I don't know why your venue would tell you that $300 would go a long way for flowers. It really won't.

It depends on where you live. My bouquet was $125, my floral crown was $60. The quote for an arch was $400 but I didn't get one. $300 will not go far.

The wedding is in a somewhat low cost of living area, about 30 minutes away from Atlanta.

That makes me more optimistic. All I need is a bouquet for myself, anything beyond would be fine. Flower crowns would be cute on the girls, but not necessary.

Floral prices at all inclusive are way different than regular floral shops. I am using my extra $$ for centerpieces for the reception tables.

It totally depends on where you are located. My bouquet was about $75 and corsages and boutineers were $15 or $20. I got married in a low COLA and told my florist to use whatever flowers are in season, as long as they are fall colors.

So, in my case, $300 covered everything except my table centerpieces. That includes my bouquet, MOH bouquet, 5 boutineers, 4 corsages. If you want a boutineer for your groom or bouts/corsages for your parents/grandparents, factor those in.

You would have to ask the venue. One of the venues I looked at included flower packages and the $200 package was a LOT of flowers and the $400 package was an obscene amount of flowers.

Does the venue include centerpieces or is that last of your $300? My venue was inclusive and we could design our own centerpieces for no cost. Everything else we paid. My bouquet was $180. A lot will depend on the type of flowers you choose as well. Something in season will be less than something out of season.

Like PP said, depends on location. You can try going to a local flower mart and see if they'll do it there for you?

I'm in S. Florida, my bridal bouquet is just under $300. I'm not a big flower person, but my bouquet was very important to me. We don't have floral centerpieces, because we don't want them.

Our flowers are around $570 that's for bridal bouquet, MOH bouquet, rose petals and altar decor.

As many PP said, location is going to play a big role.
