What can you dip in BBQ sauce?

Kendra, on April 7, 2015 at 11:46 PM Posted in Etiquette and Advice 0 26

So, during cocktail hour, we're setting out a few apps. Nothing fancy, because we don't have a ton of money and because that's not the kind of wedding we're having. Anyway, my mom owns a fondue fountain that we plan on using with barbecue sauce. Yum! I was just going to set out cheese cubes and those little cocktail wieners to dip in the bbq sauce. What else would be good?

My mom makes these amazing meatballs that she bakes, and we use them for snack foods all the time. You just put a toothpick through the middle of them, after they're cooked, for easy handling! Also, cocktail weenies are yummy with some sort of dipping sauce!

I wouldn't dip them in bbq but pineapples might be a good sweetness between bbq and cheeses.

Sweet Potato Fries (BBQ is the only way I'll eat them!), mini corn dogs, any kind of chicken, cheese cubes, kielbasa (or other sausage)

Really any sort of bite-sized meat- cocktail wieners, meatballs, popcorn chicken, sausage pieces, etc. Potato wedges or even plain flavored potato chips. I love Fritos with BBQ sauce. Cheese cubes. Some raw veggies would work too- think celery or carrots.

This is awesome idea!!! I think meatballs, chicken tenders, cocktail wieners, and cubes of cheese (sorry I'm from wisconsin, there always needs to be cheese)

@e=mc2 Wait, are ranch fountains a thing?? My venue offers "hot ranch fondue" but FH and I think that sounds gross and plan to ask for a mashed potato bar instead. I have never heard of it before!
