What color does the flower girl wear?

Danielle, on February 4, 2020 at 5:49 AM Posted in Wedding Attire 1 84
I have seen it done both ways, they either wear white or the same color as the bridesmaids, I’m not sure which one is better! Thoughts? Our color is burgundy (Cabernet technically).

It’s really your own preference. I’m not a fan of toddlers looking like mini brides so our flower girls wore our secondary wedding color.

We're doing ivory (color of my dress). Jjs house has great dresses. If you want to add color, possibly get a dress with a sash or bow to match the bridesmaids or a color in your wedding!

We are also doing a shade in the burgundy color scheme for bridesmaid dresses. I am not sure what we are doing for flower girl yet, but I don’t think I want them in white looking like mini-me’s. Maybe that would be cute if they were my niece or something but my flower girls will probably be my cousins children. I’m thinking my accent color would be cute on them so having them in a baby pink of sorts or light shade of pink.

It’s completely up to you. Most of what I loved was ivory like my dress. I ordered one in peach also to see if it’ll complement our colors wine, dark blue, tan and peach. I’m just worried it’ll be to different if a color from our jr. bridesmaids peach dress. I also wanted it in color so she could wear it again. Maybe an Easter dress.

It's really a preference thing. I didn't want our flower girl to be in white because I love color. Our flower girl is wearing a light pink tulle & rose gold sequined dress!

It's a personal preference. I didn't like the idea of someone else being in white/ ivory on my wedding day. So my flower girls are wearing dark blue. Our colors are blue, silver/ gray and ivory.

Color for sure. Only one who gets to wear white/ivory is the bride. It looks bizarre and twisted to me when people dress little girls up like miniature brides.

I personally love when flower girls are wearing the same color as the bridesmaids just a lighter shade. It sets them apart in pictures and puts them in their own category.

I usually see them in white, and I wore white as a flower girl.
Our flower girls are wearing a black tshirt, gray skirt with multi colored minnie mouse on them that happen to match our 4 bridesmaid dresses, black leggings, and one has a hot pink cardigan, and the other has a teal cardigan.

Our flower girl will be wearing a white dress with a colored sash with a big bow. It will be a dark purple to match the bridesmaids! This is the look we are going for! I think it will be easier to find a white dress and David’s bridal sells the colored sashes for about $20What color does the flower girl wear? 1

I wanted my flower girl to match the guys color (grey) and the ring bearer to match the girls colors (royal blue). But I found this dress for her and I love it. I tried it on in a size 3 and got a size 1 for her.

I know I am very torn, I want to be the only one in white but I do want them to stand out from the bridesmaids

I was thinking that as well! They’re little girls they’ll probably love pink more than white

Even if it’s too different, flower girls are their own category of the wedding party so I don’t think it will look weird!

They can wear a complimentary color. Our bridesmaids wore shades of mauve and our flower girls wore navy.

Well one of my flower girls is going to be in my fiancé’s cousins wedding three months prior, so I’m thinking if we both pick white she can wear the same dress twice and her mom doesn’t have to pay for two different dresses

I know but if you look at the history of the flower girl dress they are also supposed to be in white because it represents purity.
