What color does the flower girl wear?

I have seen it done both ways, they either wear white or the same color as the bridesmaids, I’m not sure which one is better! Thoughts? Our color is burgundy (Cabernet technically).

Normally white but mine will be wearing a light pink! My bridesmaids Cabernet/burgundy and the groomsmen navy. Yay for fall colors!

I like this look. They stand out, but coordinate with BM, not bride. And even pastels don't show that ghost of a stain you always see on white. Nice for another wedding, or shorten for a party dress or to be a guest at someone else's summer wedding. Mother approved. I was thrilled my 4 yr old twins boys' favorite babysitting cousin just changed her mind from white ruffled shirts to bright turquoise, for her ring bearer and flower boy in March. And the Navy suit from an August and a Sept wedding ( guests ).

I'm planning to have mine in a dress with a rose gold sparkly bodice and an ivory skirt, probably with a burgundy bow as an accent. My dress is ivory and my bridesmaids will be in burgundy.

It worked out very nicely! My mom also wore navy blue. It gave everything a nice balance. 🥰What color does the flower girl wear? 2

Mine wore ivory to match my dress. I mostly see flower girls wearing white. when people say "only the bride should wear white" I really don't think flower girls count. no one is going to mistake them for the bride!

I would advise against relying on getting two uses out of the same dress, especially if your flower girl is on the younger side. spills and stains can happen so easily. you don't want to have to worry that she will ruin her dress during the previous wedding! I'm sure her mom would probably agree with that too.

It all depends on the first wedding, we’ll see how it goes!

I believe it is your prerogative. My maid of honor is wearing one of the colors in a jewel tone wedding (ruby, emerald, gold, blue sapphire, amber, or amethyst), so the flower girl’s dress will either be ivory and have a colored sash and accessories to match the maid of honor’s dress (purple) or be another jewel tone color. I am actually working on the flower girl and ring bearer’s clothing in the next few weeks.
