What colors go with a blush wedding dress?!

Ellen , on September 15, 2015 at 7:08 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 14

I just got my dress over the weekend. It is blush with an ivory lace overlay. I am stressing out that my colors will clash and I'm thinking of possibly changing a color, since nothing is set in stone yet. Currently, my wedding colors were going to be turquoise and purple (the two darker colors in the attached photo). Please share your opinions! I want to get this figured out before it's time to order bridesmaid dresses. THANKS!!

I consider blush a neutral. I think it goes with everything!

Although I would suggest not having your bridesmaids wear the light purple dresses (the dark purple would be ok) since they'll be standing by you and taking photos and the colors might be too similar.

I think it will work because those are gorgeous deep tones, so the blush will balance it out very nicely.

I appreciate everyone's opinion! I'm thinking my bridesmaids will wear the dark purple and my maid of honor will wear the dark turquoise. The lighter shades are not part of my color scheme. I found this sample picture on Pinterest.

I'd suggest to have you MOH in the dark purple but with a different style dress, or with a special sash or something else to differentiate her, other than standing closest to you, if you want. While the blush is mostly neutral, i am picturing in my head and i feel like it's going to be a lot going on. Just because turquoise is one of your wedding colors doesn't mean you have to have the BM dresses is those colors.

I think blush really goes with those colors. I think it will look amazing once it's all together.

I think that would look great together! But agree you might want to not do your maid of honor in a completely different color just because it will be a lot going on in pictures.

Here are my honest thoughts: I think you should go with the deeper purple dresses for bridesmaids dresses and use the turquoise as a wrap for the bouquets and in other decor.

I'll be honest., I'm not a fan of the blush with the dark purple and turquoise shown. I'd lean more towards the shades Sallie has posted. The Berry palette is gorgeous!
