Since this is my second wedding, I wanted low key, fun and nontraditional. Its turning out to be more traditional in certain ways, but not in others. We are getting married in an old church and will be the last wedding of the current Reverend, so its pretty special to be a part of the churches history like that. I'm wearing a grey bridesmaid dress, hes wearing jeans and a vest. No huge party, just our kids and our best friends. We are doing a knot tying ceremony, but that's only because we are water people and he's a marine guy, so it fits. Were using Blessing rocks as our guest book, (people can write or draw on them) so we can incorporate these rocks in our home at some point. (we also both love rocks and nature) We originally didn't want to be introduced at the reception, but then we changed our mind, bc we both thought it was fun. No cake cutting. No bouquet toss or garter. No required, planned speeches, No wedding games or anything else that puts a huge focus on us. We don't like being the center of attention, and we just want to party with our guests. No fancy venue, were putting lipstick on a Moose (Moose Lodge wedding) Were having a BBQ buffet, homemade lasagnas, salad, cupcakes and a late night snack for those who are hanging around till late and partying. We have cornhole and hula hoops outside, temporary tattoos of our dumb mugs which will be super fun. Oh and yes, I got a photo booth for 2 hours bc I think those are really fun and I treasure the ones I got from other people weddings. We wanted fun and not stressful. Were going to get fun for sure, but still, Low key is still stressful!

I say just do what you want and don't put on a show for your guests. Anything goes these days and the day is for you and your FH. Have a blast!

Short ceremony. 2 flower girls and a girl ring bearer. No unity stuff, readers and ushers. No “first look” with the groom. Only first look with bridesmaids, mom and flower girls.
I didn’t do proposal boxes or subscribe to those monthly bride to be boxes. So overboard. I have the hashtag and website. Can’t hurt. We have a destination wedding so a website was necessary! No welcome bag for out of town guests. Only party favors for everyone.
No shoe game and probably no money dance. Wedding party entrance, Only 2 speeches. 2 family dances plus our first dance, garter and bouquet toss, cake cutting. Sunset photos! Probably no major send off or exit with sparklers or glow in the dark wands. This is mainly traditional. My first wedding I eloped at a small hall with no one. So I want my experience to be special and somewhat old school.
