What decision did you make in the shortest time?

My bridal party was pretty much set and ready to go before he ever asked me to marry him. Lol.

We knew within a year of dating what our first dance would be ; I Swear by John Michael Montgomery. That, and knowing my sister would be maid and matron of Honor.

For me the shortest decisions we made would be location, date and wedding party!

The quickest decision I made was the ceremony location and picking my matrons of honor.

The venue. I knew I wanted to get married there the first time I ever went when I was 10 years old. I paid to secure my wedding date within weeks of my fiance proposing. He already had the money saved because I have talked about the venue for years.

We chose our wedding party right away. We didn't tell them immediately, but we talked about it together the day after we got engaged.

Videographer! We did our research and knew who we wanted to capture our day. When we reached out and found out they were available on our date we scheduled a meeting to meet in person and booked them that night without hesitation!

My bridal party. I don't have a lot of close females in my life, but the ones I have are super close and dear to me. I always knew I only wanted these three standing up with me: my daughter (maid of honor), my sister (matron of honor) and my cousin (bridesmaid).

That was an easy decision!!

The photographer. He did my friend's wedding, so I knew immediately who I wanted regardless of any other details.

Location. We knew that we wanted to get married in the Dominican Republic.

We got engaged on a Saturday, and had our date booked with our church on the following Monday!

So many! I don't feel like we went back and forth over very many things. I guess the date was the first quick decision. We got married on our 10 year anniversary and that was never in question.

Probably my dress. It was the first one I tried on at my first appointment. Everything else has taken longer since I have a hard time choosing and always have to pro/con everything before making a decision.

I knew we would get married in October. I have always wanted an October wedding. So that was decided right away.

Moving in together

I had a vision in my head of what I wanted my dress to look like but I knew that this style was unflattering on my body based on past experiences. (Mermaid with low back and neckline)

So I went dress shopping with that in mind and it took five gowns and one day to find the one. (Ball gown) I went back to the shop the following week to try on more dresses, I was having second thoughts because I felt like for being a mother of two, my age and weight I didn’t deserve to wear anything with a princess vibe. But my maid of honor took that notion right out of my head and explained that if I really loved that dress and didn’t get it I would be kicking myself later. So instead of trying on more dresses when I got there I put down the deposit and ordered that dress!

Mostly everything

Most definitely the bridal party! They are either really close friends of ours or family members.

For us choosing wedding colors & theme, bridal party, cake design, size of the wedding & guest list, invitations design, videographer, officiant (our friend), wedding rings custom designs, our first dance song, and my hairstyle lol, were all instantaneous decisions 😃 When you know, you know 🤷🏻‍♀️

DJ. We met with one DJ and we knew it was the right company.
