What did you do for wedding day preparations for bride and bridesmaids?

I'm not sure if I need to book a third room for myself and bridesmaids on wedding day to get ready. I have a room for me and my future husband and another room for my children. What did you ladies do?

Our venue had a specific area we could rent to get ready in. It was two large rooms that were connected and a bathroom. The rooms had a bar, couches, tables with chairs, high chairs for doing hair and makeup, mirrors and water coolers set up. I would talk to your venue to see what brides normally do.

My venue doesn't offer that because I'm getting married on a sailboat and having my receptionon it too. I would need to get ready before I arrive at the venue.

I just wanna get ready. Maybe a bottle of wine or champagne to chill before the ceremony starts.

Maybe upgrade to a suite at the hotel or for cheaper, see if you can rent and set up a meeting room in the getting ready hotel for getting ready with the girls.

We got dressed in the bridal suite of the venue. Can you use one of the 2 rooms you already have to get ready in? Maybe you and your girls in 1 room and your future husband with his guys in the other?

I'll ask the hotel if they offer that. I'm staying at a boutique hotel that doesn't have a lot of rooms, so this is a great idea.

I may have to do that if they dont have a meeting room I can book. I'll just need to make sure the hotel turn over my room before I arrive from the reception. 🙌

We're actually getting an Air BnB because it seems to be more cost effective. That way, there's multiple rooms and space.

Are you and your husband getting ready together? If not I’d say to have a room for you and your bridesmaids and another for him and his groomsmen. My bridesmaids and I got ready in my hotel suite, and my husband and his groomsmen got ready in his best man’s hotel room which wasn’t a suite but it was a very large room

Then I would use one of your hotel rooms.

I am having my bridesmaid get ready at my parent’s house. We have hair and makeup coming to us. My parent’s live about fifteen minutes from the church, so transportation will pick us up and drive us all down.

Our venue had a bridal suite. I'd rent another room to get ready in unless the room you have is big enough for everyone & your groom has somewhere else to hangout.
