What did you do/ going to do for the ceremony part?

We aren't doing any kind of unity ceremony. We both agreed that getting married is enough of a union.

We thought about doing unity candles, but instead have decided to do a glass ceremony through this website: https://www.unityinglass.com/

Basically we each have different colors of glass that we pour together like a sand ceremony, but after the wedding we ship it back to the company and they make it into a hand-blown glass sculpture. I'm SO excited for it!

We didn't do anything aha. I think we felt like we had enough material for our ceremony to have the right length of time

We are going to do community vows. So, we wanted to find a way to incorporate our guests in the ceremony. They’re short and sweet and just a vow to embrace the other in our families and to hold us accountable to our vows.

We are doing a tree planting unity ceremony where we will plant it into a pot and then have our parents water it to symbolize their happy marriage foundation nourishing our new marriage. We will plant it near our venue the next day and visit it yearly to see how it grows. It'll be rooted in the Rocky Mountain National Forest in Colorado.

We will be doing a wine ceremony 😀

I am doing a unity ceremony for my son. My fiancé is not his biological father but he has been stepping in since day one as a father figure. So we wanted to do something memorable that would join all 3 of us as a family. Instead of my son being the ring bearer, we thought it would be a nice thing for him to be a jr. groomsmen and stand along with my fiancé at the alter.

I honestly don’t know what we are going to do. I know since the wedding is on my aunts birthday who passed away in 2015, we are going to have a small cake that says happy heavenly birthday on it and we are going to have everyone sing happy birthday. Other then that and the cake cutting I have not thought about it. I don’t really feel like for my fiancé and I, that it is a big deal.

View Quoted Comment We are very laid back and love celebrations. Our friends will be our officiants and it will be a very low key in terms of following traditions kind of a party. I am very excited!!!! My SO other was just joking I will need a shot before and after our vows just because I get so emotional... He's right lol

We are planning to do the unity heart or unity cross. I don't like the idea of sand since our wedding has nothing to do with a beach theme and we're having an outdoor ceremony so candle unity probably wouldn't work for us either.

We did a sand ceremony.

We are doing a sand ceremony. I bought Gold and Red sand to use for our sand box(pictured above). The colors match our wedding theme: Beauty and the beast.
