What did you do with your dress? Did you sell it?

I haven’t made a clear decision regarding what to do with my wedding dress yet, whether I keep it, sell it, or donate it. We have very limited storage so I would probably need to house it at my parents’ place, but with that said, the quote I got to have it dry cleaned was $650 which seems alarming to me (though not out of this world for the style of dress).

What did you do with your dress?
For those of you who sold it, how difficult was it to sell it?

$650 is ridiculously high for cleaning, regardless of dress style. I had my gown cleaned and preserved and it was only about $250.

I got married last year on October 23rd, I plan to have mine preserved and placed in a shadow box, (like how others do so for their flowers and wedding day keepsakes in which I am doing this as well), so I can view and enjoy it everyday. Here is a example pictures of what I am wanting to do:

I had mine cleaned and preserved. No way I would ever get rid of it!

I kept mine. initially i really wanted to donate it to a prom dress drive. my wedding dress was an evening gown in white that i found so i thought ok i could do that, since it was less than $30 i wouldn't be missing anything haha. but i ended up just keeping it and now it's just in its dress bag in my closet.

Im donating mine. Lots of women want to get married and feel special but cant necessarily afford an expensive new dress. Im not a sentimental person and will have the photos anyway.
