What did your open bar cost? 100 guests

We have 100 guests, I'm curious as to what people usually pay for a full open bar. I have no idea what kind of figure we should be looking at.

In Las Vegas, our all inclusive venue only includes open bar for cocktail hour. It would be $28/pp to extend it our full reception

$1,600 for 6 hours for 80 guests because we're buying our own booze from a wholesale business

My venue in Tampa, FL quoted me about $40 per person for a standard quality open bar for 4 hours. But you will also have to consider the usually astronomical taxes and mandatory gratuities.

This depends if you're purchasing your own alcohol or going through a caterer/venue.

At an all-inclusive venue we looked at it was $50/pp for 5 hours - would've been a $5,000 bar tab!

The venue we went with is DIY, so we've budgeted about $800 for beer, wine, and a signature drink during cocktail hour.

Where I live in Pennsylvania we are looking at about $16.50/person for limited open bar (Beer, Wine, and Pop) for four hours for anyone over 21. I have checked it out a few venues and this seems to be a pretty reasonable average. A lot of venues I have looked at charge like half price for anyone under 21.

    Hello,

We did open bar for 100 guests! We had our favorite server (who was also a bartender) bartend our wedding which we just paid him $100 and let him take in tips which he made a lot. Also we let him drink since he wasn't technically on his business salary. We went to ABC Wine Factory and spent $480 on full bar items we found online as a list. ABC allowed us to return unused items which came to be $180 worth. Total cost including bartender came to $400 for 100 guests. Supplying your own liquor and mixers for open bar is the cheapest way to go. Other then that typically its $15-$90 per guest for an open bar and at some places you have to pay what goes over that amount which is rare anyways. If the venue supplies everything expect to spend between $1,500 - $9,000.

That's a really good price. For my open bar, it's 18pp. Looking at 50-70 guests. Not shabby at all!!

Our reception venue had a Food & Beverage minimum we had to spend (Puerto Rico). We only had 50 guests at our reception, and our open bar package was about $75 per person (for 4 hours). This was for premium liquor brands which was important to us. Sucks because not everyone drinks alcohol (we had quite a few non-drinkers), but I think some guests made up for that LOL.

We are having an open bar, our venue is BYO. So we budgeted $500 for 110 guests and the total came in at about $380 for 3 types of wine, 3 types of beer jack daniels (4), Malibu (4 ) and vodka (5).

Our venue was a $30/person for open bar.

Honestly, I have consumed beverages often with the people that we are inviting, so I *KNOW* how much they can toss back, lol.

Soooo... honestly, I think that we got the better end of the deal.

Alcohol alone could be around $2,000 with added on services fees and tips for the bar tenders

Our venue is an Italian restaurant/banquet center in Western New York called Salvatores. By the time we booked, the price went up to 70pp, and it's now 72pp, but we were locked in to 70. They specialize in banquets and weddings and have been in the business for a crazy long time.

We are inviting 100 guests, so realistically around 85 will show up. We are paying $10 per person for an open bar (beer and wine only). So approximately $850.00.

We have 1 craft beer and 1 light beer and 3 different wines. 2 reds and a white.

Ours is included in our food cost. We're bringing the drinks tho. We just paid for the bartender and they supply the ice. They gave us the option of providing the drinks and stuff but it would be cheaper to supply it on our own. So we deligated the task.
