We spent over a year planning our February 19th destination wedding. I know the most important thing is that I married the man that I love, but I've been dwelling stuff that didn't go as planned.

For starters, the temperature in the Keys in February is usually in the 70's, and on our wedding day it was 60 during the day, with temps in the 50's at night (near record low for KW). We had an outside reception so we had to rent heaters, which was an unanticipated expense. Half of our guests ended up leaving during the reception to go change.

Our photographers were over half an hour late. My hair stylist and and make-up artist already left before they even got there. Even though they had been late, they still wanted to take us to a different location to get some pictures after we did our first look. We had arranged for trolley to take us and all guests from our hotel to the beach for the ceremony.

I got sidetracked trying to get bouquets handed out and forgot my veil. I thought about it once between and it needed steamed and I needed help getting it in but then everyone was gone waiting to walk down the isle. So I ended up not wearing it and my mother in law was disappointed and talking to me about it during the reception. Also with everything going on with covid people didn't want to stay long. So most people were gone before we departed for the honeymoon. I got really disappointed as I didnt do several things during reception (the bouquet toss was at the end with the few people that stuck around) because after cake everyone was eager to leave. Reception was only around 2 hours due to it all. But I am trying to focus on how beautiful the day was. Everyone keeps complimenting us it all is just so overwhelming the day of...

For us it was weather related. It was so windy we couldn't take photos outside. Our first look was outside and our photographers managed to get beautiful photos of it but it was a struggle. All our family photos, and bridal party photos had to be moved indoors which was upsetting.

My husband almost missed the wedding! The hotel offered shuttles for the groomsmen and guests. The guys go to get on the shuttle and the person at the front desk says they have no record of the shuttles and no way to get ahold of the manager at planned this with. I of course start crying and my beautiful expensive make up was ruined. Everybody got there before we needed to start because they carpooled and that made me upset for the DDs who then couldn't drink as planned. But no one said they minded and it was a beautiful day after my bridesmaid fixed my makeup. But to say I was fuming later when the shuttle guy shows up to pick people up and im like you can wait until im good and ready, because I didn't have a ride back to the hotel so he was waiting on me. Then I definitely let the manager have a piece of my mind the next morning!
