Usually I see the Readers name under the passage they are going to read.

If you are giving an outline of the ceremony, you would write

    Old Testament Reading...........Genesis 2: 18-24

I am so glad you posted this, I was just wondering the same thing this morning. As always, thanks Hayley C. for being so quick to give an excellent answer.

    Again, Hayley, you totally rock

But what if I'm not listing the participants in the ceremony is that way? Like if I was just listing them as such:

    Sally Smith

    Maid of Honor

    Tina Smith

    Bride's Attendant

    Bobby Taylor

    *insert reader person title*

I know this is an old thread, but can anyone tell me if the term "lector" is strictly for catholics or can anyone use the term? We're having a mostly non-religious ceremony, but I wanted to include the 'readers' on our wedding website (as they're family) so wasn't sure how to label their role- if I should put "lector" or "reader". Thanks!
