What do you do with your centerpieces after your wedding?

Anna, on August 8, 2011 at 7:34 PM Posted in Do It Yourself 0 9

My fiance said something about your suppose to put a number under the centerpieces and under someones dinner plate at the table and whoever has the matching number takes home the centerpieces. I have never heard of this at all and im wondering if this is something that is being done and if not then what do you do with them? thank you for your help.

I've never heard of that either. I thought someone at the table just took them home, whoever wanted them. That's the only way I've ever done it at weddings.

That actually sounds like it would be more fun, though. Myabe we can do that.

Everyone does something different, my friend made people sing for them, another wedding I went to people had to dance for them... we're having fish bowls (with goldfish) and we'll be putting fishfood under people's chairs, whoever finds the fishfood takes home a bowl Smiley smile

Hmm, the parties I been to usually the first person per table gets them if they want them. If not the next and so on. IDK. LOL

I have the opposite problem. I DON'T want my centerpieces taken home. I borrowed them from a friend and plan on returning them to her. I'm trying to figure out how to not have people just take them.

You can donate them to a hospital or a nursing home. I have heard that you can get a tax write for them but you would have to look into that.

Each of my girls will get a centerpiece and FH mother. I will put names on all of them to avoid fighting and confusion

We are doing cupcake trees for our centerpieces and plan on using them for parties later so I hope no one takes them.

I had to purchase the vases for my centerpieces ... so I'm just having guests take them home to enjoy.
