What do you do with your rings when you get a manicure?

GeekGurl, on February 8, 2018 at 1:31 PM Posted in Community Conversations 0 24
So I don’t normally wear jewelry other than a bangle on my left wrist which I always stash in my purse when I get a manicure. Yesterday was the first time I got a manicure after I’ve received my engagement ring. The place that I go to does a parrifin dip on your hands so I didn’t want to get wax on my ring. I was at a loss of what to do with it because what if I couldn’t find it in my bag later or what if I left it on the counter at the manicure shop?

I ended up putting it on a chain that I normally wear but I wanted to ask what other people do. I am super scared to loose my ring since I’m so not used to rings on my fingers,

My nail place has a ring holder at each manicure station so if/when I do the wax I just my rings in that.

I always bring the box with me everywhere I go. When I go to the nail salon both of my rings (promise and engagement rings) go in the box.

I don’t wear mine when I go for a manicure. I keep it at home. I worry I’ll lose it.

I attach mines to my necklace. That way I still have it with me and I know I won't lose it. Fh trips if I don't wear it or if I sit it down.

My ring is insured too but I still would hate to loose it. I love it so much and I wouldn’t want try to find a new ring or get a replacement. I know it is silly but I just don’t think it would feel the same.

A box is a good idea! I could keep it in the glove compartment until I need it and then take it into the place with me when I go.

None of the places I’ve been to have this. I wish they did! The one I went to yesterday didn’t even have a hook for my purse. I would think having a purse hook somewhere on the station would just be obvious.

Yes! AugustBride said something about a box too. I’m going to buy one today on Amazon and just stick it in my car then transfer it to my purse when I need it. Unless it is super light, my purse is too heavy as it is LOL

I think the necklace thing totally works in a pinch. Mine is from the BellaLeaf I wear so I’m not sure how secure it is but it worked well enough yesterday.

Lol I literally throw it in my pocket or my bag. It's insured so even if I lose it, it won't be a big deal.

I usually do my own nails so I just put them in my ring holder before I start. In a pinch, I will put them on the chain of my necklace or take my watch off put them on the band and then clasp it and put it in my purse.

I also like a pps suggestion of putting it in your wallet (especially if you have a zippered compartment for change).

I normally go on Saturdays for my nails, so if I'm coming from home, I just don't wear my rings to the nail place. If I happen to go on a Friday straight from work, I take them off and put them in a little dish; they have a ring dish at every nail station. They're really good about reminding you to put them back on after they put the lotion on, not that'd I'd ever forget lol.

When I get my nails done, if I was home first, I just leave it at home. Otherwise I would put it in the zip up coin purse part of my wallet. When I go to the gym, since my gym doesn't have lockers, I leave it in my car.

This. I only take mine off for a minute or so when they do the lotion/massage.

I usually leave mine on at the salon since I don't do wax. I clean my ring once a week so I'm not too concerned about the dust or anything. When I go to the gym after work I put my rings in the zipper coin section of my wallet and then lock that in a locker. That way they aren't rattling around my purse.

I purchased a small ring box from themrsbox.com that I carry with me for when I need to take my ring off. It’s a little pricey but it’s very pretty and I use it all the time.
