What do you look forward to at a wedding

Good food!

Music!!! An awesome DJ/band totally makes a wedding memorable for me!

Cake. I freaking love cake. Mmmmm

Also dancing because it's not something I usually do!

Good food, sparkling wine and comfort. By that I mean providing heat or air conditioning for your guests if it's not indoors. I would absolutely turn down an invitation to a wedding in the middle of summer if I knew the ceremony or reception would be outside (but I also live in one of the hottest areas).

TBH seeing folks I haven't seen in a while

My college friends are literally all around the world and growing up we were 12 hours away from most of my family so to me the best part of weddings is seeing everyone again

A bit of everything.

Seeing people, food, drinks, entertainment. Honestly though I really enjoy the ceremony part because it really let's you see how real it is and what it means to the couple (especially if I am close to them).

Dancing, booze and cake - in that order. Wedding food is normally "eh" so I am always pleasantly surprised when it is good and memorable.

What do I look forward to? Having an opportunity to dress up (I loathe "semi-formal" attire though). Any opportunity to dress up makes my heart smile.

Regarding the events, I enjoy seeing/hearing the couple say their vows and I love the wedding party attire. I get bored easily, so a short/sweet ceremony is my favorite. Regarding the reception, I look forward to the food and seeing the decorations. I usually only have 2 drinks when I'm out and driving so the bar isn't the main attraction to me. Most of the weddings I've attended did not invite a guest for me so I usually leave a few minutes after the music starts.

Good food, a nice sparkling wine (don't get bogged down into thinking you need champagne if you are stocking your own bar), and fun surprise (I love when people do surprises like outdoor games, karoke, or late night snacks). I also love the look of the bride and groom when they look at each other throughout the night. Don't forget to spend time with each other. A family member recently got married and she and her DH split up to do the "greeting/thank you for coming" and it was weird. They spent a decent amount of the reception on opposite sides of the room.

I really enjoy a moving, meaningful ceremony that lets me get to know the couple a little better. I don't want to be tapping my foot until it's time for cocktail hour. I want to use the tissues I stuffed into my purse!
