What do you put on a wedding registry?

Alicia, on April 30, 2020 at 12:35 AM Posted in Registry 1 13
What are things to put on your bridal registry? I keep having people tell me to do a bridal registry but not sure what to put in there.

Household items you need. Most websites like Bed, Bath, and Beyond and Macys have lists for ideas. I would go through your home and think about what kinds of things you have wanted for your home or can use an upgrade.

I did mostly household items I would need. You can also put things you’d want upgrades on

You can put whatever you want, there’s lots of options. Most out household things. Some specific things I registered for was a really nice knife set. A place setting for 12 in case we were to host a holiday in the future. Some small appliances like a blender, a hand mixer, and air fryer. I also put a new set of towels for the bathroom and new bedding. We put some smaller things we could use to upgrade like a new pot/pan set. New bowls, small kitchen gadgets and things. We registered with Bed, Bath & Beyond and Dillard’s. One thing about BBB that I noticed is things go out of stock a lot so that’s annoying.

You can put household items that you need or things you want to upgrade. But you can literally put anything on there. Here are a few of our favorite things we received off of our registry... a Roomba, a new grill, Fiestaware and other serving dishes/trays, new dishes and silverware, and a Kegerator.

Get on Amazon, Bed Bath & Beyond, Target, etc., and just start looking at items you think you want or need and start a list!

You put whatever your heart's desire on that list. Don't be afraid of the item or price. I registered us at Williams Sonoma, Crate and Barrel and Macy's. We utilized each store for different products. WS for kitchen appliances and pots, Crate and Barrel for everyday dinnerware and barware (we liked their wine glasses the best) and Macy's for bedding/bath, cutlery and speciality dining. I liked going into the stores to actually touch and see the quality, however most stores have more inventory online. I just went with reviews for things that we added to the registry online. It really is fun and make it your own!

We did Target and Bed Bath and Beyond! On Target’s site, they have a checklist you can look at. That helped me a ton! Also my momma Smiley smile haha

For my Bridal registry, Im putting stuff on there for me to have & enjoy with my FH (wink wink). For our wedding registry yes, household stuff, upgrades of things and honeymoon funds as I see them as 2 different registries.

We did Target and Bed Bath and Beyond! I’d say I have more items on there from Target though. It seems to be more user friendly

We used Zola as our registry, because anything that's not purchased on your list after the wedding is 20% off!

In terms of what is on it, we did a lot of essentials that we wanted to either class up or have matching sets of. For example, most of our kitchenware is hand-me-downs from my parents or grandmother and is all mismatched - we're excited to have matching plates and glasses! But we also put some fun things in there (why yes, we did put a beer pong table on our registry). Additionally, we have a honeymoon fund as a high priority group gift that anybody can contribute what they like.

I would look at household items; maybe things you need or things you need to replace or just would love to have. You never know how someone would like to bless you. Congratulations on your big day.

You can put pretty much anything on a wedding registry - from household basics, to upgrades, and even experiences!

We registered for a lot of entertaining basics (nice china, every day plates & bowls, wine glasses, serving ware), lots of frames and vases, and for a few big appliances! The big gifts were a Vitamix and a KitchenAid standing mixer!!

I'd start with a registry checklist that suggests all the basics by room (kitchen, dining / entertaining, home decor, bed, bath, backyard, etc.) and also check out a few fun registry round-ups to see if there are any cool new products that interest you!
