I actually don't have anything on the list. But, I believe that's because I already don't care about the do's and dont's, and just want what I want on my day.

We're not doing anything on this list and not because we're judgmental, which this article is. We're having a black tie optional event because our esthetic is more minimalist. I don't like strapless for the reason stated in the article. We're targeting a botanical garden, so decor will be little to non-existent. We're not doing favors, signature drinks, a photo booth or contemporary music. We are incorporating butterflies, but we're doing it by paying to have the butterfly exhibit open for two hours during the reception. We aren't releasing anything. We're having a brass quartet for the ceremony and cocktail hour and a dj with 80's and 90's dance party music. No bouquet/garter toss because it's against my personal beliefs. We're doing a quick thank you speech and my cousin will perform my family's traditional Polish blessing/toast, followed by my FFIL saying a short prayer before dinner. We love desert, so we'll have 1 tier cake to cut and then a desert bar. We're skipping a formal send off.

I love when people do things because it's got a significant meaning to them.

It's because they're lazy and don't want to think of something different because it would be more effort/time and time is $$$.

I completely agree. Guests don't care about that kind of thing.

This one had me dying I'm not kidding. I was just hearing it in my head and it was a guy mimicking a girls voice with a lisp. Why is that the voice I heard Idk but I died. This one is kind of true. BUT regardless to each their own. i think people need to be less judgy. Let people do as they please and don't put yourself in it. These people have nothing better to do and thats sad. lol I'm with you on the cupcake over cake debacle. We are doing donuts instead of cake.

    23.
And lastly, calling your wedding color "blush" when it's literally just pink

"The bride will always be like, 'My colors are blush and bashful,' when it's literally pink and pink."

I read articles like this sometimes and laugh because I clearly love what's "popular" but I always say it's popular for a reason. Smiley tongue

Out of the 23 overdone things on this list I

-bought a strapless dress (but added sleeves so idk if it counts haha)

-will probably have a friend or family member request the electric slide and will allow it

    -will have a photo booth

-will have bouquet toss, garter toss, and speeches

    -will have party favors

    and

-call my wedding theme burgundy BLUSH/call the dresses BLUSH pink because they are?? haha

I don't understand why people make lists like these. I think all they do is put pressure on the bride and groom to think of something new and creative to do for their wedding and it burns people out, usually. I'll do my wedding my way, and if people judge any of my reasons for doing so....Smiley xd
