Hi Ladies,

I am planning to use this song for my first dance:

'A Beautiful Mess' from Jason Mraz:

Now, we love the song and some of the lyrics such as 'what a beautiful mess this is' 'here we are' and also 'oh the wait was so worth it'.

However, I am not native english speaker so I dont know if the rest of the lyrics would really do justice to the fact that its supposed to be a really romantic song, etc.

Could you please tell me what is the meaning for the song to you? Do you personally like it as a 1st dance song?

Pretty song, I'm not a huge fan of the lyrics for myself but if they fit you go for it!

You should try Jason Mraz Lucky or Flightless Bird American Mouth wedding version thats what were going for

It's a really nice song but It doesn't scream wedding to me. I wouldn't want to be called needy or greedy in my wedding song. I agree with Tinkybaki, Lucky is a good song. If you wanted to go a different direction It's over used, but Bless the Broken Road by Rascal Flatts is a great song too, or Shania Twain, You're still the one!

However It's your wedding and if it fits your situation then go for it!!!

I love that song. I think if its a good fit use it. None of the lyrics are negative in my opinion.

The song doesnt strike me as a first dance were so in love...it strikes me more as a weve had a lot of ups and downs and here we are kind of song...We may be with eric bennet spend my life with you...or Musiq Soulchild Dont change...

The word "mess" doesn't speak wedding to me. There are so many beautiful songs out there. Why don't you take a look at the first dance songs at www.weddingmusicentral.com. They were written especially for that moment by hit writers.
