What flavor is/was your wedding cake?

I have my tasting scheduled for a little while from now, but I can't stop looking at their flavor combinations! I'm so excited to try them. What were your cake and icing flavors? Cupcakes count too. Feel free to post a pic if you have it!

We had a labor day weekend wedding, so we couldn't decide between summer and fall flavors - we choose almond cake with raspberry filling for the display cake and pumpkin with cream cheese frosting for the kitchen cake. Our guests RAVED about both!

So we're debating between two different bakers. The first cake has three layers. Two layers would be amoretto with cream cheese filling. The other layer is chocolate with raspberry.

From the other baker; again three layer cake. Two layers being white cake with alternating lemon and raspberry filling (to make it raspberry lemonade flavor) and the middle layer would be red velvet with cannoli cream.

    So many choices!

I'm using nothingbundtcakes with the main or cutting cake being vanilla then providing tons of bundtinis in all flavors they offer. There will be no grooms cake (because my dude is not a cake person) but red velvet flavor will be in the choices of the bundtinis.

We are doing a semi-naked (I don't like heavy frosting or fondant) like this with raspberry almond. It is quite literally the best cake I have ever tasted. Shout out to Martha at Great Cakes in Outer Banks, NC (just in case anyone is looking in that area). She is amazing!

We just ordered out wedding cake last weekend, we're so excited! It'll be 3 layers:

Dark chocolate cake with chocolate ganache and raspberry filling

Vanilla cake with whipped cream and strawberry filling

Almond flavored cake with whipped cream and raspberry filling

The tasting was so delicious - definitely our favorite part of wedding planning so far!

We aren't anywhere near this part yet but it's been talked about. We want cupcakes and we want at least one flavor, pumpkin!

We alternated tiers with two flavors. The first was a lemon pound cake filled with raspberry marmalade and white chocolate mousse. The second was a chocolate and vanilla marble cake with two filling layers of white chocolate mousse. We used buttercream frosting for the whole cake.

We had butter yellow cake with traditional frosting. Absolutely delicious. Small local baker who runs her business out of her home.
