What goes with pasta??

Mackenzie , on September 24, 2018 at 5:09 PM Posted in Wedding Reception 0 13
We are thinking about doing Italian and having a few different types of pastas and sauces. With some type of bread and salad but what other sides would go with it??

Pasta is so versatile! I love it! Definitely salad and breadsticks. Does it even need anything else? Lol

I would do a vegetable medley if you're looking for more sides. Sauteed spinach would be good too.

Any vegetable dish would be good! Steamed, roasted, etc. Brushetta would also be good, or caprese, or calamari? Maybe some kind of cheese & meat & olives tray?

I think a charcuterie would be awesome! You could add a warm veggie of some kind as well. I think pasta, salad, breadsticks is pretty good! We are doing Italian for our rehearsal dinner!

I agree with the vegetable idea but honestly with the bread and salad you may not even need it. Just have a great dessert for after lol

Arancinis (Italian rice balls) , breaded beef and chicken cutlets, stuffed artichokes, a pot roast, stuffed mushrooms, stuffed peppers, I’m basically listing off everything my Italian mother in law has ever served me... they all kind of work well.

I attended a wedding over the weekend and they had Italian for the meal. They had roasted potatoes, vegetables and chicken skewers, a salad, a couple different kinds of pasta and meat. For appetizers they had a wood fire pizza truck (yum!) and they had some Italian cold cuts, olives and something else that I can't remember, it looked like a meatball but it was breaded and I tji k it had cheese and spinach in it.

Does your pasta have any meat in it? Some chicken & meatballs would be needed to make it a meal. As far as sides, I think the salad and bread sticks is plenty. You could add some roasted veggies if you wanted to but I do not think its necessary.
