What Happens Right After the Ceremony??

So with 16 days left I'm really starting to mull over every detail, now I'm wondering... what do we do right after the ceremony? Obviously the kiss, reccesional, and then where do we go?? Do DH and I take a moment to ourselves? Do we go right to cocktail hour? Right to photos?

H and I went right to photos, which was a nice time spent together with just us and the photographer. I probably could have used that time for some portraits too, but I let my guests mostly enjoy cocktail hour.

We had an outdoor garden wedding as well. We walked back down the aisle after the ceremony and snuck into the bridal suite for a moment to ourselves. A few people tried to talk to us along the way. We chatted for a minute and broke away. When we came back out a few minutes later we joined our cocktail hour. We had already gotten all of our photos out of the way before the ceremony so we could visit with as many guests as we could during cocktail hour and enjoy the nibbles and cocktails ourselves!

Our plan is to go to the bridal suite and have some time to just breathe and enjoy each other while the BP sets up the tables (Ceremony and Reception in same place). We are planning on our first look pictures and group pictures prior to the wedding, so we can enjoy the time after the ceremony with our guests!

I think immediately after the recessional FH and I are gonna have a few moments to ourselves in the bridal suit just to cherish our first few moments together. We will have our DJ mention something about their being a cocktail hour and get the last few photos before we have dinner,

Our ceremony and reception were at the same venue/location. Cocktail hour began immediately after the procession. DH and I went straight to the drinks and took a shot together, then I waved down my MOH to bustle my short train. I recommend having more than one BM learn to do this; usually done at the 2nd alterations appointment. My MOH son was sick and totally forgot about this part. Luckily, my sister came over and helped, she is a fast learner Smiley smile After I got bustled up DH and I stepped outside for a few minutes to ourselves to soak everything in. We basically like we made it, we are here and everything is going great. Then we walked in and joined the rest of our guest. We planned to do a walk in song, but skipped it. Wasn't necessary in our situation. The DJ started off the dance floor with that song, which worked out better for us and our guest.

Immediately following the ceremony, where did you go and who cleaned it all up? I’m having an outdoor intimate ceremony in another state, but there won’t be any building to go to. So after pictures do we just leave and ask someone else to do it or do we?
