Ohh no! I am so sorry to hear that. Sending healing to your wedding party member! ❤️🙏🏾
Thank you as well! We are coming to grips with doing to something small and intimate and also a big celebration next year. Final option would be to cancel it all, elope and doing a party or dinner with family to celebrate (maybe still do a party next year, maybe not). We do want to eventually do something to include our close friends who we consider family.
Best of wishes to you! ❤️ Hope it all works out great!

Thank you Smiley smile We’re feeling much better after meeting with our coordinator yesterday! They’re good with honoring and transferring our deposit to a new date. The only stipulation is if we would cancel altogether, the deposit would be non refundable understandably. How we just have to figure out which date Smiley smile

We’ve had to add servers to our buffet since we can’t do self-service. We had to cancel our rehearsal dinner and are doing pizza instead. We had to rebook our entire honeymoon too. We’re still going to Cancun, but our original flights got cancelled and our resort closed off too many sections for our liking. We got a refund and entirely rebooked.

    Octavia,

Thank you so much for your kind words. I also appreciate your feedback. I know things will work out in God’s plan. In the end, all that matters is seeing the smile on my FH’s face and marrying my best friend. Take care and stay safe! ❤️❤️

We had to cancel our DJ, change dates, cut the list down, resend invites, and had to find a "social distancing proctor" to keep our venue.
If our venue gets shut down again, we have three back-up venues and two back-up officiants 😂

Our wedding date is 9/19/20. We are going to have our ceremony because it is outside and will accommodate social distancing. We are providing masks for our guests and have postponed the reception until next year (we will use it as an anniversary party,).

Next year we will do virtual for my FHs grandparents. They live in another state and would have to take a plane. Regardless of Covid, I now feel that this is probably the best option for them because it would be very difficult as they are old and not in the best of health for them to get on a plane. I had never thought about the option of virtual before this whole Covid thing, so as upsetting as it is it’s the best option with or without Covid And I feel like without Covid I would’ve never even thought of the idea. As difficult as it is, I’m trying to find some of the small blessings that are coming out of this very horrible situation.

Back yard wedding this year with 34 guests present zooming the rest in and then big wedding reception next year no ceremony again just the party where I will wear my dress at my venue for our 1 year anniversary. Changing plans cutting our guest list has been so hard I just hope things get better for everyone ! 💜

A lot has changed with our plans. We planned on having about 65-75 people at our ceremony and buffet-style reception on September 5, but decided in April to postpone to September 2021. Now, we’re still getting legally married on September 5, but will only have our parents, my sister, our photographer and our officiant in attendance. We also planned on going out of state for our minimoon, but recently cancelled our reservations to keep our travels within our home state.

I think through all of this, I’ve learned to be even more flexible and patient, since we’re all dealing with this pandemic in different capacities. Like others, I’ve also tried to acknowledge any good things to come out of this scary time.

I feel you! We are completely changing everything for our 10/24/2020 wedding. Living in Texas, we felt uncomfortable with 150 person guest list. We have decided to have small ceremony/reception with 50 people max. We are still working the details out with our venue, but we will probably host a larger reception next year. I wish there was a way to work around COVID, but there are too many risks for our families and friends.

Not quite. I’ve kind of recently made decisions harder on myself looking into destination weddings as well. We have already pushed the date back prior to COVID (so that worked out perfectly). Only thing I’m worried about now is the safety of everyone and losing out on money. I’m confident we will find a suitable solution. We’ve been weighing our options.
