What if babies cry during the ceremony?

Sone of my close friends just had babies. I want them to be at the ceremony but just wonder what if the babies cry during the ceremony?

I thought about that too but I'm going to put that in my "things I can't completely control" pile, along with the weather.

At my FH's best friend's wedding, the ring bearer went into a crying fit and his dad took him out but he kept wailing and we could hear him in the hallways crying for mommy. Problem was mommy was the MOH lol. So she finally went left the ceremony to tend to him. It did take attention away from the ceremony for a bit, and I'm sure the bride wishes her sister/MOH could have stayed at the alter with her. But doesn't take away from the fact that it was lovely ceremony. Things happen... the wedding will go on.

My 6 year old cried. It's a long story, but my dad got her calmed down really quickly. Kids are unpredictable and that's about all there is to say about it.

I had a good laugh at some of these responses, even at some that you may have found insensitive (sorry if you were offended, I always get the feeling those sorts are just lightening the mood)!

I think what we're trying to get across, mostly, is that babies cry in any situation...so what do you usually do then? Babies cry in the grocery store, on the airplane, in a train, at weddings, at funerals, at birthday parties, in the car, in the crib....so really, it's just something you plan on happening and have backup routes for. So yes, having a quiet area like a nursery is a great idea, especially if the location (my old church has this) has tvs and/or speakers wired into the room. That way your guests won't miss a moment Smiley smile
