We're having a Sunday morning wedding and i wanted to find out how much DJs normally cost? I got a couple of quotes which both i and my coworker thought were too high. Looking for input. Thanks

@Jeannette - Who is your DJ? Also from Chicagoland area and haven't found anyone for less than $1000.

I live in Nashville TN. And they are through the roof here. (Mostly everything here is through the roof, which is why I'm not getting married here.) 3,000 easy.

In the bay area i got quoted with 950 for 6 hours. So far he is the cheapest one. Not going to pay more than 1000.

@JoyVW I'm in Clovis! Where are you getting married? I don't often run into Fresno area brides/grooms on here

We're paying 1,200 for 5 and a half hours. It includes lighting and it also includes the Dj officiating. That is with a discount though. We've known the dj for a few years from going to trivia events he runs so we got the "trivia regulars discount".

Our DJ is 1600. This was a normal range price from my location in NC. He includes: ceremony equipment, 4 sets of speakers, a custom monogram projection, and 8hours of music and lightings for a large room.

Mine is $895 for 4 hours in Charlotte. It's usually $1095 but they were running a $200 off special when I booked Smiley smile

We are paying $600 for ours and that will include ceremony, reception and send off. He's a good friend of ours, but I've been quoted from 600-2,000. Just depends on how long, size of the party, etc.

This is like asking the price of the average home. It all depends on location and features. If you want an all out DJ with light show and staff in a metro area....be prepared to pay.

If you want just basic introductions, ceremony music and background dinner and reception dance music...not so much money then. It all depends on where you are and what you want.

Ours is CHEAP, CHEAP, CHEAP. Favor from a friend. $600 for ceremony and reception. All others I contacted were at least $1500 for basic DJ service.

I got married in Cocoa Beach FL and used Rythm trail steel drum and DJ options. Ephraim was amazing. I truly am glad I sprung for this.

Also, they do travel over FL.

I would say anything under $1,000 sounds extremely cheap. I urge all to go and check them out.
