What is the average price for a makeup artist on you wedding day?

This depends on a lot of factors including: location, experience, lashes included or not, airbrush vs traditional, if the trial is included.

Def depends on where you live. I've had HMUAs tell me from 250-500 I live in Washington D.C

To be honest I've gotten everything from $100 to $900 (just for the bride!!). I went with one that was $500 for hair and makeup for the bride and $100 per service for bridesmaids. It was really good quality and there were multiple photos of *exactly* what I wanted on their instagram so I didn't have to wonder whether they can capture the style I want. They also had photos of MOBs/MOGs/older women which is important to know they have the skill for older skin.

One thing I found frustrating was that most vendors are either expensive for the bride and have no min service requirements or they're cheaper but have a min of 5-6 bridesmaid requirement. I wanted to give my bridesmaids the option to opt in/out so it was really frustrating but understandable since they can only get one wedding a day.

For me it's a $150 the day of for hair and makeup (airbrushed and false lashes). I think it's a really good deal cause I know some places charge about $125 for hair and $125 for makeup

My trial was $100 and there is no traveling fee

Mine was $500 for hair and makeup ($250 each), as well as $250 for a trial. She charged a travel fee for anywhere outside 50 miles, and $100 per service for each additional person. This is in the Northern California area.

The ranges I’ve seen in SoCal is 400-600, including airbrushing and false lashes for brides. Trials are 120-200. And for BMs/ other family members - 140-200. None of he HMUA I looked at included travel fees because they were local.

I'm in the Phoenix/Scottsdale area and am having my make-up done for $150, plus $60 per trial. My bridesmaids are getting theirs for $65. My hair is only $100, trials included, as I'm having it done by the salon I've been going to my whole life and they gave me a deal. Normally in this area, hair would probably still be around $150+ with $50+ trials.

Of course it really does depend on the area. I am paying $175 for my hair and makeup on-site. The stylist is charging $75 for hair per person in the wedding party. My hair and makeup trial came to a grand total of $75.
