Alison, on July 8, 2010 at 1:49 PM Posted in Planning 0 24

I only have a little over three weeks till my wedding and still have to buy bridesmaids gifts. I DONT KNOW WHAT TO GET THESE GIRLS. I want to get them all the same thing, and something extra for my MOH. My budget is tight. They are all very different people. Any ideas???

What about bridesmaid picture frames? After the wedding you can give them a picture of you and that bridesmaid on your wedding day to put in their picture frame. That's what I'm thinking about doing but I'm not 100% sure yet. lol

I'm buying mine their shoes, so its less they have to spend. Pay for their nails, makeup, or upgrade their hotel rooms perhaps?!

I was thinking of getting them necklaces that they could wear on the wedding day.

I'm making their jewerly for the wedding. Made charm bracelets, fleur de lis ear rings and necklaces ended up spending about 15 bucks a piece with all the materials if that. I also found some personalized things with their first inital, some got candles, purses personalized.

I like the idea of taking them all to get nails done the day before, but I kinda want to give them something they could keep. I thought about the picture frames. You can get ones that have their names engraved....I looked at necklaces and jewellery but couldnt find anything in my price range Smiley sad

I had purses made for them out of the extra dress material we had from cutting their dresses off. I also had anklets made for them and purchased their earrings to wear that day. I was going to get them a little something else but then I got the quote for the bouquets and decided that it was enough!

If you don't mind me asking what is your budget? The WW gals are really good at helping find nice jewelry at any price range. Smiley smile

I went to hobby lobby, its a huge craft store. in the jewerly section they have the charm bracelets already made depending on what colors you want. I went with an irridesent and white and silver colors and just added the silver fleur de lis charms i found in the same section. I used the same charms for the ear rings and necklace. I just bought the necklace for like $7 and the ear rings you had to undo one side and just add the charm and close it back up w/ a small pair of needle nose plyers. I'll try and get some pictures posted soon.

Theres a frame for $11.95 then $6.75 extra if you want it personalized...

You can catch them on sale if you sign up for the newsletter.

Sucks that you're on a tight schedule though...

I decided on the picture frames. Walmart.com has really nice bridesmaids frames....$30 each. I ordered them online and can pick them up and pay in the store in 1-2 weeks. Thanks for the help, ladies.

I had planned on paying for their mani/pedi the day before-LOL thought I was supposed to if it is one of the things thats expected!! Glad I know now Smiley smile

I was thinking about getting them each some kind of tote bag, adding their name/monogram & throwing in different items for each. For example: a book I know they want with bookmark & attachable reading light or a gift card for a new one, different snacks to go with a gift card for a movie, or maybe bath salts with candles and a robe....these are all just ideas, but will probably end up doing it!. I had also thought about taking wine glasses & doing some kind of painting or etching on them

I got them each a little tote bag from hobby lobby that were only about 5 bucks. I purchased some iron on decals to go on the bags. I bought their wedding jewelry for cheap and then ordered them each a specialized wine glass (www.fizzyartist.com) and am buying each a bottle of wine they like. It probably sounds like a lot but I am buying them little by little so it doesn't feel like it's a lot of money being spent. I love to spoil people but it's killing me not to give the presents to them and I have to wait til January 2011 Smiley smile

I think another great idea that I was going to do is make them homemade body scrub. Like sugar scrub, if you google it there are lots of recipes for them.

I got my girls wristlets from the Coach outlet with a 30% off coupon so I only spent $30 each and the wristlets are big and really nice, they can bring it to the wedding and use after that for years.

these are a really good idea-keep your bridesmaids comfy during the reception and let them get out of those horrible heels!
