What is the cheapest route for wedding invites?

Tina L., on July 6, 2015 at 3:01 PM Posted in Planning 0 30

What is everyone doing for invites? Vistaprint Etsy? Also are you using rsvp post cards?

I went through Walmart stationary and it costed me 100 bucks for 150 invites! I love them, and you can customize them! (:

Well the cheapest is probably an e-vite or a facebook invite, LOL...but that's fairly frowned upon Smiley smile I found my invitation designer on Etsy myself, but through my research it was evident Etsy wasn't necessarily the cheapest way to go...we ended up stretching our invitation budget to be able to get what we really really wanted. I've seen boxes of blank invitation suites at Michael's before, and I'm assuming they include instructions on how to format and print them...so that could be a budget friendly option for you.

I went with wedding paper divas. I had a coupon so they were pretty cheap.

I am doing print at home invites from Michael's. For 75 guests we got 60 invites (2 packs of 30) that were $40 a piece regular price, we got for about $50 total w/their common 40% coupons. Now I am just getting to the actual printing part, so I expect to go through an ink cartridge, and then I am not sure how much the extra postage will cost. I got my STDs from vistaprint for like $35 and I am kind of kicking myself for not ordering invites from them as well if for nothing more than the time saving and convenience of not having to print them myself. But they don't carry the design from my STDs anymore, so it is too late now. Shop around is my best advice.

Vistaprint. If you sign up for their newsletters they are constantly having up to 40% off. You get your invites, rsvp cards, and envelopes ready to go all at once.

I got mine on Vistaprint, they have sales all the time! I saved so much I was able to upgrade to the nicest paper (linen finish) and personalized printed RSVP envelopes. Our suite only cost around $200.

If its over 100 invites Vistaprint or Zazzle (both have 50% off codes every other day) are probably the best quality for budget invites. If you order under 100 the cost is more per invite. I ordered 25 through yourthebride.com, with pre printed return address on the outer enveloe (for free), double envelopes (not necessary, but included), and 3 lines on the lower left hand corner with my reception dinner time and address, and my telephonic rsvp info. With shipping $50.44. Good quality, basic raised flower invite. Im happy with them.

I bought a template off etsy for the invitation and RSVP card for 30 dollars. I had a groupon for zazzle and got 75 invitations with envelopes for 28 dollars. That didn't include the RSVP cards. I'm currently searching for a good deal to get those printed off. So with postage and everything I think I'll be right around 110-ish for 75 invites. I'm not having the RSVP cards sent back, we are doing online or text RSVP, so that saves money as well (but potentially not headache of tracking down RSVPs lol).

    Facebook.

Jk! I definitely didn't go cheap in terms of designing my invitations. However, once I had purchased the hand painted artwork and design project for my invites, I was able to print through a local printer for like $135 for 150 invitation suites (invites, postcard rsvps, and insert cards). So maybe design your own and find a local print store? Or Vistaprint?

I'm not really good at DIY so I had my invites printed. The below companies offered the best deals to me. They have sales all the time and I never heard anyone complain about the service or quality of the below companies.

I used seal and send invites from invitations by dawn. I got 50 invites which include RSVP postcard. Some of the seal and send includes a reception card to. I paid $104.15 shipping included. It could have been cheaper but I upgraded the paper to white texture 110lb.

I'm making my own and it's costing me an arm and a leg for supplies. I used vistaprint for my STDs and they were very inexpensive. You can also find good prices on etsy and Ann's bridal bargains. You really just need to shop around based on the style you want. But whatever you do, don't do it yourself unless you're doing something very simple and using a template.

I spent $40 on two boxes (100) of DIY invitations at Wal-Mart. I chose the font I wanted to use and also the wording. I bought Gartner Studios "Script Love" Invitation.

I think we're going with Vistaprint just because they constantly have coupons and they occasionally have deals on Groupon too.

I'm somewhat picky and am working on a small budget, so after looking at some samples I think I will be printing them myself! I plan to use alter the color scheme of MS Publisher (Word has some too) template and print on a heavy card stock with my own printer ordering cheap ink off Amazon that I have used in the past. This allows me to print only however many I need and also allows me to use the fonts I like best and the flexibility of changing the RSVP date if I send out two batches of invites.

I got mine on Ebay, and they're amazing. 100 personalized invites, response cards, and enclosure cards, for $102, including shipping.
