What is the craziest thing on your registry?

HowCo Industries, on April 8, 2018 at 8:55 AM Posted in Registry 0 51
We went to our appointment at BB&B to register yesterday and it was great fun! We registered for all sorts of useful and fun stuff.
The FH has long worked in the coffee industry, so along with a new pour over system (our favorite coffee at home) he registered for a $1300 espresso machine! Now, we know we probably won't get that (we've three millionaires on our guest list, so who knows, we might) but it was fun to register for and we felt pretty certain no one would feel intimidated or pressured to spend more because of how the price point stood out from the rest of the registry.
What crazy thing did you register for? Was it just weird or, like mine, was it the price that made it crazy?

A cocktail smoker lol! But it's not crazy really because all my friends know I'm very into craft cocktails.

The duvet cover had a “regular price” of $350 and I thought that was nuts. Macy’s always has sales so it never actually sells for that much. We didn’t really register for anything out of the ordinary. Our knives and pots/pans from Williams Sonoma are a little pricey, but we registered for them all individually because we don’t need full sets of either one.

I thought my 700 espresso machine was crazy!

BB&B is going to start doing group buying this summer (so I hear) So maybe someone will put a bit in for it?

Well, we registered for a KitchenAid mixer, a La Crueset Dutch oven, and a full China set...all of which were quite pricy but were our only "big ticket" items. Come to find out my mom and grandma are gifting us all three of these things, from their collection of well cared for equipment and a family heirloom set of China. So now the most expensive thing on our registry is like a $300 knife set followed by a $150 food processor.

The WEIRDEST thing....my FH decided to put a SquattyPotty on the registry, to give people a good chuckle...I have a feeling we're going to end up with it...from a guest who wants to keep the joke going 🙃

I also have a SMEG espresso machine on my Zola registry, and they allow group gifting - did you consider trying that for your big ticket items?

We're not worried. There are plenty of other things to buy us. Honestly, we were laughing at it more than anything else.

I'm waiting for BB&B, I'm wedding is in the fall so by time anyone really buys gifts they're supposed to have it. Otherwise I might move them over. I only have one gift registry and was hoping to keep it that way.

I think the biggest ticket item we just wanted to use the completion discount on later was a dining table set (around $500), but my brother ended up buying it for us! DH went on the registry unmonitored and registered for an R2D2 cutting board, Star Wars spatula, and an apron that says “Mr. Good Lookin’ is Cookin’”... naturally we got all three and we were thrilled haha

Registered at BB&B and we have an air hockey table on ours. It's $1000 and we know nobody is going to buy it but air hockey has always been our favorite thing to play together and we have many many memories of playing it in arcades. Who knows- maybe my family will go together and buy it for us Smiley smile

Were are the same way! We wanted to register for things like hardwood floors bathroom tile, an automated thermostat and an attic ladder. Lowes needs to get a wedding registry asap! They are missing out on a great opportunity.

    Lowes has a registry-i think
I just cant figure this registry thing out
Closest thing i could do was register for lowes gift cards, another member on this site suggested it
I was on my registry and found some thst are 25. And 50. To lowes
I guess that would cover stuff on lowes
Im thinking my registry is going to be 50 of the 25. Lowes gift cards 😂

I think the craziest/omg I really hope we get this item on ours is a grillzebo. It's a gazebo for over the grill. It has little ledges for beer and he can grill in the rain. He is so excited that he almost bought it last week. Had to stop him lol.

Our most expensive is the kithenaid mixer and a new grill, which is about $300. The craziest is maybe our board games?
