What is the draw for Halo settings? I'm curious

I see so many 'Halo' settings...with cushion...round...etc center stones. What is the appeal to Halo settings. I wanna know!

We almost bought a halo. I personally don't like the look of just a stone. I have to have something to incorporate the stone into the ring and into my hand. This is the ring we almost bought....

Like an earlier poster said, I just find halos when done properly add something to the ring. I just personally am not a fan of the 3 stone or solitaire.

While a halo can accentuate a small center stone and make it look larger, it’s not necessarily cheaper. It’s the cut and clarity of the diamonds that make it less expensive. I have a diamond halo ring - color is F and the inclusions are VVS1....not really cheap.. But anyway, I asked my husband for a halo ring because I wanted a split shank band and it looked best with the halo ring and I just thought it was fun. It does sparkle more and I get compliments on it all the time. One of the main drawbacks is the halo setting is a lot more delicate than a normal pave setting. I definitely have to be a lot more careful in regards to accidentally knocking it on something.
