This is a good question. One of my good friends does custom cakes for a living, and she’s doing ours. Usually I just let her do her own thing, so it’ll more than likely be a surprise 😊

We aren't doing a cake (not really in the budget and we don't like cake) instead we are going with the donut theory and doing a donut bar where people can build their own toppings on a donut. We think it will be fun and more people will like it. The bakery is making us a big donut to cut as our "cake"

We aren't having cake at all. We are having donut towers instead similar to this. We will have 1-5 tier and 2-3 tier towers.

This is EXACTLY what we are planning on doing! We are not fond of cake and are planning on doing a top tier of a cheesecake and then the rest donuts! A local donut place near us posted this recently and I am so in love.

This is the inspiration picture for our cake. For the tiers we've decided on strawberry/champagne and lemon/raspberry.

Not exactly sure what they are going to look like yet but my sister is making our cupcakes. We are doing red velvet with cream cheese frosting, chocolate with chocolate frosting, and an orange cupcake with maybe a whipped cream filling and vanilla frosting with an orange reduction (kind of like a creamsicle). And we got some crates and are going to do a display similar to the picture below.
