Passing on this, we intend to stay until the last guest leaves. However, we will briefly sneak away at some point for a “midnight kiss” photo. Our photographer does these lovely shots of just the bride and groom alone somewhere at the venue and they are absolutely incredible.

I don’t believe we will do one. I’d like to get a “bubbles” shot but not as the exit!

Hi Cheyenne! Perhaps after your ceremony before the reception with your bridal party you could get some fun bubbles shots? Or sometime during your reception? Smiley smile Do you have a photographer booked yet? It can't hurt to ask! I love the idea Smiley heart

Ooh it would be fun to do it with the bridal party! Great idea! We do have a photographer booked, I’ll have to ask her what she thinks also, thanks!

We are not doing one, we are just continuing to mingle with our guests in the hotel but will probably move the party elsewhere.

We're skipping it since we're staying in the same hotel we're getting married at - seemed silly and a lot of fuss to usher people out to light sparklers and have us walk through them, only to go back in through a different entrance. That being said, I LOVE sparkler photos (or confetti photos) and hope to figure out how to stage some shots with them.

I love the sparkler pics!! sadly the city we are getting married in will not allow them (some weird "ordinance") and we were going to do bubbles, but it will be dark by then and the front of the venue is a bit tricky to fit everyone outside... I think we may skip it because it'll be late and my FH will probably be ready to make our escape by then!! haha

My husband wants a discreet exit because he wants to leave as soon as possible:/ . So we are literally only going to say goodbye to our parents and the most important people, I.e., our wedding party. Hopefully that's not rude and people will understand.

Has anyone done sparklers in the middle of the reception. We have a baseball and Disney theme. I was thinking about doing a 7th inning stretch, but afraid people won't return. I don't want to kill the flow of the party, Our ceremony starts at 5:30 with reception at 7:00.

Not doing one- dancing at the reception till its shut down at 12 and then heading to the afterparty with our guests to continue the party. Will probably be the last 2 standing as well Smiley winking

We were up with some guest hours after the majority left at midnight- 1am. And we said, good night, everybody. And left . No movie star and celebrity grand entrances, no spectacular exit. A wedding, not a media event, we saw no need for them.

Hi CP! Your reception & afterparty sound like they're going to be so fun! Smiley heart

Where are you having your afterparty? A local bar or elsewhere?

That's a great idea, especially given that you, your FS, & your guests are up for a party & dancing the night away!

Thanks, we rented out a large house close by where our bridal party and some of the guests are going to be staying. It’s in a rural area so should have to worry to much about noise complaints.

Except the complaints you make when the roosters crow and all the other unfamiliar sounds of the countryside start at dawn! Such a short time after you go to bed!
