What is your vision for yourself as a bride

Michelle, on November 14, 2021 at 9:16 AM Posted in Fitness and Health 0 14

Has anyone taken extra steps in beauty/fitness/other to look a certain way for their wedding?

For example, I decided to finally complete my Invisalign (teeth straightening) using my wedding date as an arbitrary deadline. My groom and I also got a couple of facials during our engagement.

I am in the process of going back to blonde from dark brunette. My hair is naturally very light blonde and that was the color it was when I first met my fiancé, so we both loved the idea of going back to that color for the wedding. Plus, my dress absolutely BEGS for blonde hair! I also recently got microblading done. I don’t have a strong brow, and didn’t want to worry about my brows “melting off” on my wedding day the southern humidity 😆 Next up is lip fillers to make my put a little fuller and my lips smoother for lipstick application!

I actually wanted to be the real me for my wedding day. No hair extentions, no ball gown, no gigantic nails ;-) Of course, I took care of myself, I lost 13 kilos, I was eating healthy, using good products for my hair and skin... but no big changes.

I am actually in the process of getting Invisalign as well!! I am excited to have (nearly) straight teeth by May! I’ve been getting facials as well and I’m pretty physically active already so not much is changing in terms of getting in shape Smiley smile

I had microblading done also. It completely changed my face. This in addition to lashes makes me look like I always have a little make up on which I love. I wish there were a permanent lash option!

100%! I have rosacea, one of the ugly kinds that leaves me pimply! My next doc visit, I plan to get a referral to a dermatologist because nothing my doc has prescribed has helped. I'm hoping for clear skin for my wedding so my makeup is nice and smooth! My FH has a cyst on the top of his head that he fpund out about years ago, but finally has insurance to have it removed. We want to feel our best for the start of our new chapter together!

Don’t you love it?! Microblading was a game changer for me! I have blonde brows and literally spent 15-20 mins every morning trying to prime, color coat, pencil, powder and set them… and then have to redo them if they weren’t even 🤦🏼‍♀️ Now I just swipe on brow mascara and go! Do you wear false lashes, or did you get lash extensions?

I'm shooting for going down a dress size (mostly because that's the size I've spent most of my life at and it's the size that "feels" like me, if that makes sense). I've also been growing my hair out (so I won't need extensions but have options with the hairstyle) and keeping it blonde (my natural-ish color) instead of going dark like I've been dying (haha, get it) to do. I've also been trying to finally nail down a skincare routine that can handle my hormonal breakouts so I don't have to worry about a giant forehead pimple on my wedding day, and I've been working on gradually whitening my teeth!

Trying for the "me, but a little better" approach.

But now you've all mentioned microblading and me and my invisible eyebrows might have to join the party 😅😅

Girl I hear ya on the invisible eyebrows-mine were the same! Microblading was the best decision ever! I can’t believe the difference it made in my face! Just make sure you do your research and see LOTS of customer reviews with pics when choosing your artist!

(oh, and don’t freak out the first few days after you get them done. They are going to be super dark and you are going to look like a weird Muppet lol But they WILL fade in a week or 2)

Yes! One of the best decisions I’ve made. I get lash extensions. They usually last 2-3 weeks but it’s so time consuming.

Microblading, losing 20lbs, and just finished up my invisalign (though its my third round of orthodontics so it wasn't really for the wedding).

I will be tanning beforehand as well so I don't match my dress. Haha
