What is going to be your something blue, something used, something old, something new?
So far I have a blue garter, new necklace and earrings, waiting for a vintage bracelet as something old from my grandma and something borrowed maybe a hanker chief?

    Oh, fun! Mine are:

something old (and borrowed): my great, great, great grandmother's wedding ring from 1850)

    new: the dress

blue: My fiance's grandmother is embroidering our initials on a handkerchief for me to keep in my pocket.

I also have a 'sixpence' for my shoe (the last part of the rhyme people tend to leave out these days) - I love rabbits, so my parents bought me a 1968 Irish threepenny coin which has a hare on it. My grandparents on my dad's side were Irish, and my parents got married in 1968, so it's a sweet touch to a few things Smiley smile

I heard the sixpence goes in the left shoe the father of the bride placed it there. It represents good fortune for the couple. I love how your something old is your great, great, great grandma’s ring. Wow that’s so special!

Thank you! It's nice to have something that old from our family! And I'll have to tell my dad to put the coin in when the time comes!

I love blue in a brides color palette. My bridesmaids are steel blue. I read “Something borrowed” can be an idea. Like your parents or grandparents song. Or for “Something old,” a hanker chief or those mini memorial charms with your grandparents pictures in it. And you tie them around your bouquet. I’m gonna have that with a trinket my mom just gave me. It was my grandma’s broach/locket.

What a beautiful trinket. Our blue is navy with silver and white. I thought about taking a piece of my Dad's shirt (he's passed) and having the seamstress sew it under my dress but I'm on a strict budget and don't want to pay a fortune to have it done.
