Is your new name going to be: Choice #1: First Name/Middle Name/ Spouse's Last Name Choice #2: First Name/Maiden Name/ Spouse's Last name Choice #3: First Name/ Middle Name/ Maiden-Last Name OR are you not changing your last name at all I've been thinking about it for awhile and as much as excited...

Is your new name going to be:

Choice #1: First Name/Middle Name/ Spouse's Last Name

Choice #2: First Name/Maiden Name/ Spouse's Last name

Choice #3: First Name/ Middle Name/ Maiden-Last Name

OR

are you not changing your last name at all


I've been thinking about it for awhile and as much as excited as I am to be marrying my FH I'm a little divided about Choice #1 and Choice#2 since I've had my last name and middle name for so long it's a little bittersweet to part with it either one.

    Choice #4: FirstName/ MiddleName/ MaidenName Spouse'sLastName (two parts, no hyphen)


    I was surprised to have a lot of feelings about this.
    You could also go with: Choice #5: FirstName/ MiddleName MaidenName/ Spouse'sLastName

    I did not change my name.

    Any kids we have will likely just have his name, as we both have longer last names, and hyphenating that is... kind of unfair to the kids.

    I think I'm going to add my maiden name as a second middle and take my FH's last name. I want to have his last name, but I don't want to get rid of my current middle name (family name), and my full name without my maiden name as a buffer between my middle and my FH's last sounds really weird, so 2 middle names it is!

    I went with First Middle Spouse Last Name - but there was no pressure for me to do so, in fact, he was surprised that I elected to.
