Hi Katie. I planned in 5 months with a health change, so my experience may be different. But, decision fatigue is real. Frustrations with your future spouse and personal anxiety are common and about inevitable. Outside of planning, I read "The Art of Gathering" by Priya Parker. It helps change the mindset to reasons why groups gather beyond say, wedding favors and other dramas. My spouse and I also had premarital counseling which set us in a forward mindset, though we had been living together for at least 2 years. Best wishes. Give yourself breaks in your calendar.

    Thank you for that advice.
There are times I just don't even think about the wedding planning and there are days that's all I think about.
We have a lot of things taken care of so far. Which I'm grateful! But there are still some things I slighty freak out about. 🤣
Now I'm starting to write my wedding vows. And im super nervous reading in front of everyone. It is something I want go do. But than again I'm so nervous 😓 😟 😰

Planning well in advance helped along with a wedding planner. Also, focusing on the love story we wanted to tell at our wedding was super helpful. It helped center this event as being purposeful. I think one of the biggest causes of anxiety is the failure to plan strategically and thoughtfully. Again my planner really helped tremendously with that.

Oh hunny and come together it will. The only faux las was that the glam squad who is usually reliable was 2 hours late arriving an hour before the ceremony and I was nearly in tears. But when I put that gown on and had the first look with my parents and walk down the aisle, with guests clapping and cheering I saw nothing but bliss and I thought to myself Yeo this was worth it. I wish I could post the video of that moment.

To help with the vows, once you get them written out, read them out loud in the mirror while you're alone so you can absorb your own words, see whether you like how certain phrasings work when spoken vs written, and work on your pacing. Once you get things where you want them, record yourself reading them so you can see what you look like doing it. Do that a few times to the point you're basically watching the same thing over and over. Then you'll know exactly what everything will look/ sound like and it'll be a familiar process. You can also ask a friend or family member to act as an audience if you think that will help and you're not worried about them hearing your vows ahead of time.

On the big day, just focus on reading your vows to your partner. They're the only one who will remember what you said years down the road, and no matter what they love you! You got this! Smiley smile
