What men don't know about weddings

Lol I feel like this could apply to my FMIL too. If I had a dollar for all the times I've had to tell her seemingly obvious things (like not to wear white)...

Anyways, I think it's been really helpful to walk my FH through how the day will go from start to finish. Maybe when you're finalizing your timeline ask your FH to sit and go through it with you. Then he knows what's going on and when. You can also sprinkle in little tips as you go through (ex. try not to step on your dress going back down the aisle or during dancing, make sure he doesn't have his phone in his pants pocket, etc.).

Sounds familiar. I made my FH watch a bunch of wedding shows leading up to our day so he could see what goes on. I told him to be sure he looked into my eyes when we did our first dance. We practiced our kiss for the ceremony so it didn’t seem awkward.
And that he should make his way around to speak to every guest at cocktail hour and/or the reception.
Our DJ walked us through each part of the schedule about a month prior. This was very helpful to both of us.

My FH didn't realize how many little details we were responsible for planning until I made a post-it note to-do list board and a checklist of things to buy/do. He thought once we booked venue, photographer/videographer, dj and florist we were basically done.

Right. Even if not involved in all the details of the planning, there are things he needs to know just to make things flow well.
