What Other Centerpieces Could Go With Ostrich Feather Centerpieces?

Private User, on November 3, 2015 at 3:17 PM Posted in Style and Décor 0 14

We have a 1920's themed wedding. Our colors are black, gold, and silver. I have 14-16 tables so to cut down on cost, I rented 8 ostrich feather centerpieces and planned to do the other 8 or so differently. What should be the centerpieces for the other tables? I have included examples of what the centerpieces will look like.

To give you an idea of my planned "tablescape," the tables will have black table cloths with a black and white pinned stripped table runner and gold chargers. The guest gifts are pralines and they will be in silver boxes or silver mesh drawstring treat bags with a gold ribbon and each of these will be setting on the chargers (haven't decided if the plates which are white with gold trim will be sitting on the chargers or over at the buffet tables)

Not sure, but I think Rosemary did ostrich centerpieces. Maybe she can weigh in?

Also, thanks to WW, this is what I thought of when I saw "ostrich centerpieces."

^^I second futuremrslav's first thought. I was like: "tf are ostrich centerpieces???"

If you type in "Gatsby Themed Centerpieces" on Pinterest some cool ideas pop up. Black and gold vases, incorporating a feather or two in a floral centerpiece, using "pearls."

I'm alllllll about the feathers!!!!!!!! You wouldn't happen to need an ostrich feather dress???!! (selling mine). What about some beautiful white/gold candles or some gold mercury glass? These colors are similar to my wedding, and we added a bunch of greenery to each table to make it lush.

Cannot wait to see what you come up with!!!

I always liked the look of tall and short centerpieces mixed together in a event. Maybe alternating tables. Maybe a simple fresh floral arrangement with some feather accents would work?

LOL definitely had to make the correction and add ostrich FEATHER in the title LOL. Thanks ladies and gentlemen these are great ideas.

@Rosemary where did you buy your feathers from? I'm finding those to be quite expensive!

@BrooklynBride I have a feather wedding dress by Rosa Clara. Your tablescape is the dopeness though! We may have to discuss the candles lol

I'd make short feather/brooch bouquets, something like below You could even use more flowers less feathers with bigger brooches. Like the babys breath in the vase.

By the way, those eiffels look fantastic when they're sprayed with metallic spray paint. We did a bunch for a client about a year ago in silver. I loved the result. Krylon makes a good selection of glass spray paints.
