What other color will complement the color Wine?

MrsD2011, on December 16, 2010 at 7:08 PM Posted in Planning 0 20

So I'm thinking that maybe a light gold will not complement Wine (the color) very well ... what color or colors did complement that if any of you have or are using that color ...

Ivory and gold go well with the color wine. Of course, black looks good with everything.

Ivory and gold for sure. A darker blue or deep forest green. It depends on the shade of wine, but a deep purple or really dark almsot red orange could be very pretty too.

I did a very dark burgundy, which is close to wine and used ivory.

My primary color is a dark burgundy. It looks great with gold, ivory and copper (and surprisingly hints of light green --this for the floral arrangements).

At our ceremony, we had ivory and gold as our main colors. The MOH wore a burgundy dress and carried pink flowers. It all went together.

My colors are DB wine and cognac (which is kind of a rusty coppery orange)

Our theme is "fall leaves" so it works for fallish colors. Here are our centerpieces based around these colors.

You can also look for other objects/textiles/art with colors for inspiration. our overall color was gold and navy but we used this rug in our ceremony which mean our flowers had notes of wine, creams, and blues, as well. What other color will complement the color Wine? 1

Slate grey and navy with ivory looks beautiful. I also think light blushy pink is pretty as well.

Don't do it. You have to sign up for it and it's really just a bunch of links to vendors, etc. The color palette was a joke. I chose red since wine was the primary color and it showed a color chip of red, wine, and gray. Waste of time if really looking for suggestions on color combos.
