What Size Bowls? (snacks for reception)

HoundMama, on January 8, 2013 at 1:03 PM Posted in Planning 0 4

A lot of people we know like to munch on something while they are drinking. Not full blown appetizers, but something like peanuts or pretzels or whatever. The thing is, I'm not sure what size bowls to use for the tables? I don't want to buy 10 different kinds to see which one will work. I'm just wondering if anyone here has any advice on what size they used for something like this? Did you use regular "soup bowl" sized bowls (usually 10-12 oz.), or the smaller "sampler" (I believe those are 1-2 oz.) sizes?

Thanks!

I would go with the "soup bowl" size, people eat with their eyes first so seeing the food in a larger bowl may encourage some munching! That's just my opinion though, any other suggestions ladies?! Smiley smile

That's what I was leaning towards too - do you think 2 on a round table of 8 is sufficient, or should there be more?

I think 2 should be fine, 3 may be nice too since it's a round table an odd number may look better but I would just use your best judgment when you set the tables up and see what you think! Good luck @HoundMama (cute name btw Smiley winking )
