Ours was partially making sure it had the features we wanted and partially practical. I wanted to get married on the beach but we needed to find a venue where my FMIL could get onto the beach easily since she’s in a wheelchair. It’s amazing how many beaches have loads of steps instead of a ramp down to the sand! We also wanted the venue to have windows overlooking the ocean. Loads of the beachfront hotels throw you in a “ballroom” which is often the basement 🤦‍♀️ Finally found this place and was sold! It’s a bit pricier than we wanted but worth it to make sure it was what we wanted!

We love our venue because it’s absolutely beautiful! Celebrations is stunning! It’s very classy and they’re were willing to work with my budget. I don’t have to worry about catering, alcohol or decorating. They even recommended the photographer/videographer that we will be using on our big day. From our first meeting I was sold. I’m excited.

I wanted a beach wedding - FH really did not. We both wanted a venue that could accommodate both the ceremony and reception. We found the perfect compromise- a yacht club! You don't have to be a member to rent the facilities, either.

The reception room has these gorgeous floor to ceiling windows that face the bay.
The outside is so pretty - perfect picture opportunities

And when I saw THIS picture (not us) I knew it was the perfect place for my compromised beach ceremony. 😁
Bonus that is has been consistently written up un the Sarasota magazines for outstanding food!

View Quoted Comment Reusing the barrels for the reception and ceremony is such a smart idea! Does the winery provide them? Our venue is a winery/brewery combination, and they'll provide a few barrels for us to use if we choose, which helps us out lol. We'll probably use them for the ceremony, but I hadn't even thought about using them for the reception. I've actually never seen that half arch design before - it looks really cool! Doing the arch on one side and the barrel on the other would definitely give a really cool visual effect.

Yes, they do, thankfully! Winery/brewery sounds amazing!

And I hope the two pieces do look nice, and not too... disjointed! I just have to trust my friend, who is an experienced and creative florist - she wouldn't suggest it unless she thought she could make it look amazing!
