What song are you walking down the aisle to?

I think I'm going to be really unoriginal and do Canon in D, plus I love classical music. What are y'all doing?

I wanted something classical that wasn't Canon in D, but couldn't come up with anything else. I spent so much time listening to classical music clips. Eventually I started looking at modern tracks and decided on Book of Love by Peter Gabriel. I had never heard the song before and starting crying the first time I heard it, so I knew it was the one.

My bridesmaids walked to the Israel Kamakawiwoʻole version of Over the Rainbow, and our recessional was Dog Days are Over by Florence + the Machine - all played by a cello/violin duo.

I really can't decide!! We have such a short "aisle" to walk down. It's literally going to take me 10 seconds. So, I'm thinking maybe everyone walks down to the same song? Le Vie en Rose by Louis is a favorite, but I also love Haley Reinhart's cover of Can't Help Falling In Love.

Or I had the idea of each group of people (so the guys, the girls, our officiants who played matchmaker, etc.) all walk down to different, fun songs. To make things more fun and casual. Maybe Back on Black (AC/DC) for the men and Lady (Styx) for the women. FH didn't seem too keen on that idea though which surprised me.

Canon in D is classic and I can't blame you for going with it! It is a lovely song! As a violinist who had to play it throughout high school though, it's not a favorite of mine haha!

I'll be walking down the aisle to "Han and the Princess" from Star Wars.

We liked the classical vibe but wanted something different. We found a song called Hymn to Hope that's GORGEOUS. It goes through an awkward key change around the 2 minute mark but I'll be at the altar by then so we'll fade it out and pretend the song ends there lol

I was super upset because I was SET on walking down to Hailey Klinkhammer's version of "Can't Help Falling in Love" because her voice sends chills down my spine...BUT my DJ won't play "YouTube" artists. If it's on Itunes/Google Play they will, but she only has her original songs on there, not covers. So I'm using the Vitamin String Quartet version, still beautiful...just not what I had set my heart on Smiley sad

I'm favoring Ar Éirinn Ní Neosfainn Cé Hí.

I'd also like to have the wedding song from Les Miserables somewhere in the wedding, but it's kind of overly dramatic and too short because it only lasts about 30 seconds before it goes into the Tenardier's theme. But Les Mis is my favorite musical, and we watched the movie on our first date, and my mom walked down the aisle to the wedding march from her favorite musical (The Sound of Music).

“Do you want to know a secret” by the Beatles. We have a pianist, and it sounds beautiful on the piano.

I am also doing cannon in D! It’s popular for a reason! My whole life I have always imagined that that is what I would walk down the aisle to, I feel like it wouldn’t be right to use anything else

We are starting with "I Choose You" by Sara Bareilles, then a quick switch to "Secret Agent Man" for the ring security boys, and then I'm still on the fence about the song after that... Maybe "Here Comes the Sun?"
