what song are you walking down the aisle to?

We're trying to figure out a song for me to walk down the aisle to... so far I really like "To build a home" by Cinematic Orchestra, but I can't tell if it sounds too sad. It's such a beautiful song & I love the words! What're you walking down to?

Oh wow, I must be one of the few people doing the traditional "dun dun de dun"... I've teared up so many times hearing that tone start so nothing else seems right to me but that.

@KimS I was toying with that song but thought the original version was too fast-paced. This acoustic version is so perfect I might borrow it Smiley smile

@JulieR - Go for it! I felt the same about her original, but love her writing & music. We're using the bridge verse on the back of. our invitations. :-)

I think I'm walking down to "There you'll be" by Faith Hill. A little background...my dad passed away in 2011 and my son will be walking me down the aisle. This song means a lot to me because when I graduated from college in 2012 -better late than never - my dad wasn't there. All he ever said to me was that he was going to get better so he could see me walk across that stage. Sadly he didn't. My sister gave me this song at my graduation and every time I hear it I think of my dad. What better way to have him there with me on that special day? I am also planning on honoring my mom by placing one yellow rose in my bouquet. That was her favorite flower. I want my parents there with me that day...
